Don't ask me why I am watching, this, but it is cold, wet and windy here and nothing else on telly. Trevor Sinclair is pitch side and yes they showed that over head kick goal, never tire of seeing that one.
Warrington are around the same standard as the side my lad plays for, in their youth team. They're doing very well but they need a second goal, as they will tire later on.
Lets hope they get a second goal, pitch looks heavy and ball bobbling a lot, but hopefully home side used too that. Steve Perryman on at half time, i remember him in his playing days of course but also his sports shop in Greenford on corner of Ruislip Road and Mansell Ave if i remember right. Not far from my ex place of education.
I worked in thier and the Hayes town one for years Cate..! Which school?..I was Greenford High ? You Wiseman ?
Yep, but they've done it. Absolutely fantastic result. Those players have given their all and they're now one more win away from a possible 3rd round at Old Trafford or the like!!
Really enjoyed watching that game was on my feet clapping and screaming at TV, fantastic result, they stuck at it even though half the team had cramp from 60 mins. Hope your young lads team one day have such a result!
great game, it's what the FACup is all about, will be worth about £100K to them too! I used to go to his shop too, Perryman went to my school at Northolt High, PE teacher always used to brag about him as an ex-pupil
He was actually a really nice bloke. Would never have know who he was or what he was if you didnt follow the game
Thanks Cate. I played for the same team and we were one game away from the FA Cup 1st round proper when we played Guernsey away. Unfortunately we lost, but I do have the dubious honour of having got booked for kicking Matt Le Tissier's brother!!
If anyone gaets a chance please have a read of this piece from the beeb website about the 1st round tie between Portsmouth (Home of the Navy) and Aldershot (Home of the Army) to be played tomorrow on Rememberance Sunday, a truly moving piece about the numbers that signed up to fight in WW1..... http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29899269
