http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignacio_Scocco http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...derland-chase-ignacio-scocco-transfer-2980098 I can remember this lad being mentioned in the summer but I confess that I know very little or anything about him tbh. His stats look canny and he was the top scorer in Argentina last season so knows where the net is and by the all the reading he has something equally vital for us - pace. We will be linked with a plethora of names no doubt but when one that has surfaced previously it may have more to it? Hes 28 so hardly ancient (29 in May) and a loan till the end of the season might be a good chancer?
Sceptical mate, granted I know very little about him myself. However, apart from Arca we have been burnt with quite a few South American players. He would need time to settle and that's the one thing he won't have. Poyet has already stated he wants players with premier league experience this transfer window.
Fair point mate but what about all the players who have lit up a storm in the pl with no previous experience. Every1 gotta start somewhere, sorry don't have link but check him out on yt.
There's only Suarez who I trust from south America, I don't think he will come here !. They don't like the weather either. Milten nunez remember him !, Claudio maringoni ?.Poyet will probably sign Hemel hesky or bring Danny graham back. I am joking by the way and I want us to stay up and win the league cup and the mags to gan down, and I can prove i am a SAFC ticket holder, on wed they did not put the tombola in the usuall spot because of the weather or how many coaches were parked behind the baths. Any questions about any of every home game this season league and cup ask me.
Scocco is a quality wee player, likes to run, loves a dig and scores for fun. That said, I would worry about a few things. He's been Europe once, & ****ed off, during the stint in Europe, he did a 'donkey loan' a-la-Gyan, that always makes me wonder about mentality. He also chose big money in Brazil over Europe at the beginning of the season, it just seems a wrong un, despite his ability. I'd sooner, if we are going for a South American, we went after Abel Hernandez. We were linked in the summer, he's lightning quick, a decent finisher, left footed & has been settled in Europe for a few years, on top, he remained at Palermo after relegation (ok, an injury maybe stopped a move....) & would probably be relatively cheap due to Palermo's dire financial state due to relegation. He's also younger, and bigger, than Scocco.
So you have a mate that's a Sunderland season ticket holder. I have about 25-30 mag mates that have season tickets. I could find out any information, about any game, by simply picking up the phone and asking my mate.
Says a lot about you that statement does. You trust a bloke who likes biting opponents? spits his dummy out and stamps on opponents when he can't get all his own way? What a complete ****ing idiot you are.
Tim Vickery was on Talksport this afternoon with news from South America. While he was on the air he confirmed that the news had just broken over there that Scocco was talking to Sunderland. He was saying that he was really highly rated when he was at Newell's Old Boys but has been very quiet since joining Internacional.
