18 days to go,not a striker in sight, not even any strong whispers...With the money we've saved on our last batch of front men we should be in the market for an absolute top notch specimens,if ayew goes well start against hull with mcburnie up front, and one of our 4 goalies as a replacement on the bench!

Lets not forget 11 days till our last friendly and we may end up having 2 new strikers who have never even put a shirt on or met their team mates come the start of the season, ****ing shambles.

God forbid if Ayew gets sold and no strikers come in , which is a worst case nightmare scenario , I can see Fer starting up front with McBurnie at the ready on the bench .
Now before anyone has a go at me like this is what I want , I'm merely reacting to Pembs outlandish scenario ...ok

Roof that would be a nightmare after 5 years in the Pl we go into a new season with out a striker. What will the club have become if that happens, Whose fault will it be HJ, The Yanks or Guidolin. Lets not forger roof the possible loss of Siggy

I won't panic if either Ayew stays or Ayew goes and we get a striker .
The chances of both Ayew going and not getting a striker before the window closes is almost impossible .
And if Siggy goes , Fer will slot in there just nicely , he scored a shed load of goals as an attacking midfielder with QPR .
I may be the only one in total happiness with the signing of Fer but we got a lot of potential with him in many positions .
At 4.5 million , we stumbled onto something special IMO , time will tell .

It would be suicidal for us now to sell either Ayew or Siggy, 17 days to the start of the season, anyone heard anything on the striker front?

I like Fer but a stand-in for Siggy? I think not. Losing Siggy would be appalling for us. Losing Ayew as well, disastrous.

Well if Siggy goes , what do we do play with one less man ?
Fer scored 6 goals in his last 18 games at QPR as an attacking midfielder and would be a fine replacement should Siggy leave ......period .
I'm not saying I want Siggy to leave , but it is possible .I was answering Leftys scenario .

Fer will do an ok job as a stand in, he is just not the man for the whole season. I agree if Siggy stays and gets injured happy with Fer doing it on a 1 game basis, all season no chance.

Well 6 goals in 18 games is a pretty good sign he knows how that position works and if I was Guidolin and my# 10 skipped town , I"m pretty sure I would put Fer in that spot knowing his past success . To overlook his past ability in that spot would be a mistake IMO .
Now you may not think so , but I do .

To rely on something a few seasons ago could also be a big mistake. We need better and someone who plays there week in week out. I am not criticising Fer, but he would be my stand in due to his versatility.

How bout Ki , in the 2014 -2015 Ki scored 8 goals , one more than Siggy and Ki started 2 less games .
And I'd have to check but some of Siggy's 7 goals were probably penalties or free kicks .
