Not sure
Did he leave Ipswich for the England job or was that Newcastle that he left ?
Brain has left the building for now without looking him up on Google !

I try not to Google stuff unless I absolutely have to - I try and force my brain to work. Consequently I sometimes get things wrong, but I think it's important to at least TRY and remember stuff - or the brain gets lazy. It needs exercising just like physical muscles do.
IMHO of course - I'm no medical expert.

What about the one’s that leave like Alex Neil from Sunderland? They are not sacked.
That's true, but ultimately he is highly likely to be.
That's how by far the vast majority of football managers' careers end.

I suppose Coppout's career didn't end with a sacking - he just stopped working.

also some get to an age where they "retire" or their contract is not renewed [ so they have not been sacked! ] sacked can only be when in employment/ contract?
Dame Nellie!
