I'm looking forward to us getting out the blocks quickly right from the kick off, imposing ourselves and taking control of a game. Last night yet another poor first half display. Apart from Trencin at home (when Long missed a first half hat trick), and Stuttgart away when Meyler got us off to a flyer with his early goal, we have not imposed ourselves on any team. Bruceys gonna earn every penny of his wages over the coming weeks. I'm confident we have the players and are showing glimpses of what potentially we have; time for the potential to turn into positive results.
100% should start on Saturday and drop Tom. He's not doing his job and it's time for Bruce to grow a pair. Oh s**t, Ive taken us off topic. My post didnt reference slow starts or fast starts.
I've just posted something similar on the de ja vu thread, we're far too defensive at the moment, we need to take a leaf out of Leicester's book and start attacking from the off.
Man City are not anywhere near the level they should be at with the players they have. Forget last nights 7-0 wednesday walkover. The defending made ours look impressive. We have the players to get after them from the off and hurt them. After the results we have seen in the PL so far this season dont rule anything out on saturday.
I think he has a slight groin problem at the moment, so probably will only be on the bench. I would prefer he takes Quinny's place, as he looked good when he came on against West Spam.
Ramirez is an attacking midfielder, Tom plays the holding role. Completely different. Its either Meyler or Jake if you drop Tom.
We're conceding too many, our goal scoring record is pretty good. I'd say 3 centre halves allows our wing backs to be more attack minded and doesn't leave us so open at the back to the counter.
