I'm gutted that I'm going to miss the first game of the season. I shall be leaving the balmy climes of Suffolk for a family bash in the frozen north. This is the first match I'll have missed in aaages. When Mrs Footballboots and I got married on a Friday, we waited until the Sunday to go on our honeymoon so we didn't miss the game on Saturday. Having watched Town's performance against the mighty Pirates last night, I'm itching to see how the likes of Massimo Luongo and Scott Loach perform against Championship opposition. I also think that nearly 20,000 fans (let's be realistic) singing My Way will be as formidable as we could ever wish our defence to be. This could be Portman Road's very own, You'll Never Walk Alone. Enjoy the match folks. I won't even be able to listen to it on the fluffing radio! I'm expecting some top notch match reports people! Much love, The Hawk
