Over the years we've had some really tough opening fixtures; Everton away, Liverpool away, Villa etc etc. If you could choose the first game, who would you want? A hard away fixture to see if the team is strong enough? An 'easy' (I use that lightly because we never do 'easy') home game to settle us in? I'd want Swansea at home, that has the potential to be a thrilling game.
Wigan at home. Everytime we beat them with utter ease at home. They where the worst side i watched at the Emirates at home last season.
That's miles away. Chelsea at Stamford Bridge please or United at Old Trafford. At least it'll be over and done with.
