on my own, well with my mates. Not a bad one Though it was ****ing scary for a ten year old down North Rd afterwards
I always remember the season after when we gave the Sunderland fans the whole of the East Side of BP. One of the worst days of my life, that!
I was standing right next to the cameraman at the half way line. I will never forget that goal. Thanks for the video. I just wish my dad was still alive to see us in the premier league.
Yet when we beat them ar their place 3 or 4 seasons previously there were only about 13,000 in Roker Park. Mind you, there were less than a hundred of us (at a time we were getting 20,000 at home) which meant that getting back to the bus after our win was fun and games. A cup win and a push for promotion and they brought more to BP than there had been at Roker. Everyoneof them reckoning they hadn't missed a game since fhe year dot.
What sort of gates did we get that season Castro? Some good results but bad bad defeats, annoying inconsistency ate Home Away Competition August 1974 Sat 17 Southampton 3-3 Hull City Division Two Tue 20 Hull City 1-1 Aston Villa Division Two Sat 24 Hull City 1-0 West Bromwich Albion Division Two Wed 28 Aston Villa 6-0 Hull City Division Two Sat 31 Bristol Rovers 2-0 Hull City Division Two September 1974 Sat 7 Hull City 0-0 Norwich City Division Two Sat 14 Nottingham Forest 4-0 Hull City Division Two Wed 18 West Bromwich Albion 2-2 Hull City Division Two Sat 21 Hull City 1-1 Oldham Athletic Division Two Tue 24 Hull City 1-1 Millwall Division Two Sat 28 Cardiff City 1-2 Hull City Division Two October 1974 Sat 5 Blackpool 1-2 Hull City Division Two Sat 12 Hull City 2-0 Bolton Wanderers Division Two Sat 19 Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Hull City Division Two Sat 26 Hull City 3-1 Sunderland Division Two November 1974 Sat 2 Notts County 5-0 Hull City Division Two Sat 9 Hull City 2-1 Fulham Division Two Sat 16 Portsmouth 1-1 Hull City Division Two Sat 23 Hull City 2-0 Manchester United Division Two Sat 30 Hull City 1-0 Bristol City Division Two December 1974 Sat 7 Oxford United 3-1 Hull City Division Two Sat 14 Hull City 1-1 Southampton Division Two Sat 21 Orient 0-0 Hull City Division Two Thu 26 Hull City 1-3 Nottingham Forest Division Two Sat 28 York City 3-0 Hull City Division Two January 1975 Sat 11 Hull City 1-0 Oxford United Division Two Sat 18 Bristol City 2-0 Hull City Division Two February 1975 Sat 1 Fulham 1-1 Hull City Division Two Sat 8 Hull City 1-0 Notts County Division Two Sat 15 Manchester United 2-0 Hull City Division Two Sat 22 Hull City 0-0 Portsmouth Division Two March 1975 Sat 1 Hull City 2-0 Bristol Rovers Division Two Sat 8 Millwall 2-0 Hull City Division Two Sat 15 Hull City 1-1 Cardiff City Division Two Sat 22 Norwich City 1-0 Hull City Division Two Fri 28 Oldham Athletic 0-1 Hull City Division Two Sat 29 Hull City 0-0 Orient Division Two Mon 31 Hull City 2-0 York City Division Two April 1975 Sat 5 Sunderland 1-0 Hull City Division Two Sat 12 Hull City 1-0 Blackpool Division Two Sat 19 Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Hull City Division Two Sat 26 Hull City 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday Division Two
The season above gates were poor, as they confinued to be for some time. For example last game of season against Wednesday, which they brought a fair few to, the crowd was less than 8,000. Which in a BP which was still the same as it was when we got 40,000 against Stoke, looked less than impressive. Lowest was 5,203 against Orient, highest 23,287 against Manchester Utd, which wasn't passed until we moved into the KC. Surprrisng how few 25,000 crowds we had for league games since 1967/68. Probably half a dozen.

Plastic. My first game was Hull City 4-0 Macclesfield in the FA Cup First Round on 9 November 1999. I remember that John Eyre and Mark Greaves scored.
Kinell. You were rolling down to games on your own as a Four year old. First game I went to on me todd was 1991 v QPR in the league cup. They were established top flight at the time, boasting such star turns as Les Ferdinand, Any Impy and Jan Stejskl. We got tonked 3-0. http://tigerbase.hullcity.com/index.php#match_view Edit:Link didn't work as planned, but feel free to use it to track down your games
Hull City 3-1 Southend United in the Carling Cup a few years ago. Tom Cairney, Jozy Altidore and Geovanni scoring.
1995 v Coventry in the League Cup (can't remember the sponsor at that particular time) at Boothferry Park. We lost, and that's all i have to say about that.
Went to the away game - all Cov - summat like 30 shots to 2. Ended up 2-0 and Gav Gordon made his debut (what happened to him?). Recall a lot of trouble at the end of the match.
My first was 1989, City 2-3 Liverpool in the FA Cup fifth round. I remember you could only get a ticket if you joined a club and got a pass, I was down in the well
