Dan mentioned this on another thread.

The first film I saw at the pictures was Live And Let Die at the Odeon in Aberdeen when I was 8.

What was your first magical excursion to cinemaland?

Im away for a pint to try and recover!!

We used to get packed off to the Saturday matinee every week at the George in Bellshill when we were weans so I canny really remember what the first movie I saw was. Probably a Bruce Lee cos I can remember me and my brothers Kung Fuing the **** out of each other on the way home. Or maybe we were just doing that for the hell of it.

I did see "Jaws" at that very same cinema one Saturday afternoon when I was about 10. That's the first memorable one I can think of.

    First was Sleeping Beauty.

    Second was Gremlins.

Both in the almost mythical Kelburn in Paisley.

I saw Star Wars at the Odeon on Byers Road.

Also saw Jenny get her boobies out in Logans Run there as a 12 year old.

Got me ma to take me to see Slade's film whatever it was called, I was only 3 or 4. Apparently it had lots of swearing in it but it didn't matter as I was more interested in wandering round the cinema than watching the film.

    Slade in Flame ...

Think mine might have been Zulu ... there was actually a cinema at the end of my road in inner city Leicester 'The Aylestone Cinema' - film was so good the old man took me back to see it for at least 3 nights in the week it was on - Cinema became a Bingo Hall before a mysterious fire enabled developers to level it and put up lots of flats in its' place ...

Thanks, looks like I was 3. Think the second film was Abba. Was well into pop music at an early age.
