Spin off from Lockdown thread. What was the first ever car you bought? How much did you pay and what was the mileage? And/or what was the first car you ever drove? And/or what was the first car you learned to drive in. Also what has been your favourite car? As mentioned on another thread my first car was a green Morris Marina Coupe bought in 1982 for £950 with 27000 miles on the clock. Called it “Green Meanie” as a twist on the Blue Meanies from the Beatles film. First car driven was my Old Man’s Morris 1800. A big solid car with power steering. S of M car which I learned to drive in was a Ford Escort from mid 1970’s. Decent but not souped up or a boy racer. Favourite car has been a Jaguar XF which was the one I had before my current car. And you?

Vauxhall Combo van Incidentally I've never caused a crash or had any points on my licence. That's probably because I use something in my car that not everyone else seem to use...my brain Are you reading this BMW owners!
Most difficult car I can recall driving was a Volkswagen Beetle, old style. The pedals were all too close together. It meant changing gear was a more precise but slower art form. Also rear window was microscopic and you could hardly see anything behind.
nope. My 2nd car, a Corsa, then caught fire going down the A19. I never had any luck with cars at all til my current 1 really, had about 7 pieces of ****
