20% off if you buy tickets for both Blackpool and Peterborough. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/peterborough-and-blackpool-tickets-378612.aspx It's a start I suppose but i doubt it's enough to make a huge impact on the attendance, any effort in this department should be applauded though.
I posted last week on another thread that Hull City missed a trick with the Millwall and Peterboro home games knowing that both crowds would be low due to a lack of away fans. A bogof deal i call it. The 20% i guess is a start but it could be more. I would suggest this for the Peterborough - Blackpool and Ipswich home games. All unSold seats 3 days before the game are sold as follows £40 for a family of 4.(2 adults, 2 kids) for the family south stand £20 for one adult and child (same stand). £20 adult tickets for the West, North and East stand £10 OAP(60+)/UB40 people who can prove that they are unemployed. Kids prices as they are now. Its worth a try to see what difference these prices make. Fans complain its too expensive and to some it will be. The club is better off filling the empty seats will lower prices when its obvious the full price wont be paid. Less is More actually. IMO anyway.
Thats a brilliant name for it tickles, you should patent it quick before someone else steals it............
No they wont because if anyone has bought a ticket for the Peterborough game then they can now go in and get there 20% off if they buy a Blackpool ticket has well. Also if you have already bought tickets for both games you can take them in and receive 20% off. I hope the offer is put in the HDM and on the radio so fans get to know
Why would it ffs ? I pay full whack and more than many But as long as the KC is full and rocking i dont care. Many of the unemployed have no choice so why should they as true City fans suffer. Only a bigot would complain, imo. The problem with the 20% off is that for many fans that discount is not enough. I also do think that many will pick the game they attend. At the moment we have a run of games (Blackpool apart) that dont attract anyone and hardly any away fans come here. I just dont think that 20% is enough.
I would like to see BBC and HDM to publicise this given the promonence of the story of falling gates given by Look North as City could do with some help here and it is only fair for the media to balance things up.
This is a good sign even if it isn't a massive reduction. It does show that the club are at least thinking about getting more fans in and realise that deals like this will help. However the fact it's such a small reduction makes me think the club are still reluctant to make any serious discounts that might make more of a difference.
Another media promotion thought is , why don't City experiment by paying for anadvert of the combo ticketoffer in the neighbouring York Press which is the main paper as near as Mkt Weighton and also circulates in Driffield? Also there is the southbank press. I am sure the Allams will be familiar with the speculate to accumulate saying. There must be some fairly well heeled potential support in these areas as well!
They used to do that at Hockey games here in the US except the discount on unsold tickets didnt start until after the game had started. I am pretty sure that all the teams canceled that program. What ended up happening was that no on would buy the tickets before the game they simply made the decision to miss the first part of the game in order to have tickets drastically cheaper than they would have been.
Thankfully the clubs doing something to get you in, buy a pair of tickets for the next two games and its £20 a game. Can't say fairer than that can you? Similar deals for adults and concessions. Well Done City.
Numbers down, revenue up due to the price increases. This was according to Ehab. Someone may come up with a link.
What they ought to do is offer £50 in food and drink vouchers (10 x £5 vouchers, only one per purchase per game or something similar), to be used at the stadium, to any season pass holder who introduces another who buys a reduced-cost pass for the number of games left. And give the pass buyer say £20 worth of vouchers too. That way existing pass-holders would be encouraged to act as 'ambassadors' for the club, telling everyone what great football's being played and what they're missing.
Do they do other types of season tickets? Here they will do half season, and quarter season tickets. They will even do things like rival packages where you get tickets to the games everyone wants to go to or packages to the games no one wants to go to. The tickets for the packages are cheaper than buying them individually but more expensive than the full season price per game. It is great for people who want to go to a few games but don't have the money for a full season pass.
