What do you think would be considered a successful start to the seson? Considering our first 3 away games I would be happy with 8 points after 6 games.
2 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats then. Defeats (near certain) Away to Man City & Arsenal Leaving 2 wins & 2 draws from the remainder - Quite possible but you could get more points IMO
Man city - Away Lose (but only just) - 0 points Wigan - Home win - 3 points Sunderland - Home lose - 0 points Arsenal - Away lose - 0 points West Brom - Home win - 3 points Chelsea - Away lose - 0 points So only 6 points from 1st 6 games....But don't fret Stoke - Home - 3 points Norwich - Away - 3points Wolves - Away - 1 point Bolton - Home - 3 points Liverpool - Away - 0 points Manure - Home - 0 point 11 points from that group of 6 Total of 16 points from 1st 12 games , average of 1.33 points per game 1.2 points per game will be enough to stay up in my opinion (45 points)
sunderland were woeful away last season, but with all the signings thay have made who knows this season, norwich away i would go for a point, might pinch it v wolves and lets not forget liverpools bad start last season. be happy with 15-20 after having to play 5 of the top 6 from last season
Not sure what we will get from the first 6 games. But for me the most important thing will be getting our first win early. This will put some belief in the players and show that they can compete at this level. The longer we wait for that win the more doubt will be in the players minds. So it's simple beat Man city first game of the season and we will be up and running. (I wish)
Sunderland this season cannot be compared to last season and I think premiership teams will find them a tough nut to crack due to new signings.
I would be happy if we could pick up seven points from the first six matches and anymore than that then i would be ecstatic.
Man c hope draw but feel a 5-1 loss Wigan a 4-1 backlash win for us Sunderland a 2-2 battle Arsenal 2-1 loss W brom 2-0 win for us steady the ship Chelsea a 2-1 shock win for us 10 pts
