http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/n...houldnt_affect_the_players_721293/index.shtml The first 15 minutes of the FA Cup match against Coventry maybe in front of mainly Saints away support due to Coventry fans' planned protest of SISU's running of their club. The protest has been allowed to take place in front of the Jimmy Hill statue at 3:00pm and last for the first 15 minutes of the game. This will be weird if it happens but also makes me think, thank god we weren't taken over by that consortium (it was close!) or who knows where we'd be as a club right now!
lets get 3-0 up in that 15minutes whilst there is nobody to cheer on Coventry! I too am bloody glad we didnt get taken over by that consortium - it was gut wrenching at the time, but it proved to be a great decision as the late great Markus Liebherr came in to rescue us but i do think Coventry fans should be protesting before the game, not during it and certainly not outside whilst the game is going on imo
I thought Saints (Can't remember the owners of Saints at the time. Wilde and that other guy ) said no to SISU?
"First 15 minutes of Coventry game maybe in front on mainly Saints away support" I'd have thought that was a given with or without the protest
Feel so sorry for Coventry fans. Partly because they support Coventry, of course, but mostly because I have always found their fans to be among the friendliest and knowledgeable in the country. They were gutted the last time we were there. One of them said "lucky" to me as I walked past. "What?" "We were lucky it wasn't 10!" Priceless. Good luck to them, and hope their protest is well supported. We should applaud them in when they arrive!
