Basically the rules are beginning to be put into effect, and there are some fairly well known clubs who have been hit with penalties. Strangely enough, it's a financial penalty - they're being withheld from claiming prize money until they can prove their finances are in order.

FK Borac Banja Luka (Bosnia)
FK Sarajevo (Bosnia)
FK Zeljeznicar (Bosnia)
PFC CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria)
HNK Hajduk Split (Croatia)
NK Osijek (Croatia)
Club Atletico de Madrid (Spain)
Malaga CF (Spain)
Maccabi Netanya FC (Israel)
FK Shkendija 79 (Macedonia)
Floriana FC (Malta)
FK Buducnost Podgorica (Montenegro)
FK Rudar Pjevlja (Montenegro)
Ruch Chorzow (Poland)
Sporting Clube de Portugal (Portugal)
FC Dinamo Bucuresti (Romania)
FC Rapid Bucuresti (Romania)
FC Vaslui (Romania)
FC Rubin Kazan (Russia)
FK Partizan (Serbia)
FK Vojvodina (Serbia)
Eskisehirspor (Turkey)
Fenerbahce SK (Turkey)

No English clubs on there though, which is strange for UEFA considering their hatred of England/the Premier League.

Anyways, what do we think of Financial Fair Play? Is it right? Will it have any effect on the way the big clubs operate or will they continue to spend money they perhaps don't even have?

It's such a good idea, especially in the long-term

Yeah, its more to do with how clever the legal teams are than anything else. Man City are a good example of making the system not really work.

This is just about overdue payments, the "break even" bit of FPPP does not start until next season. Atletico Madrid are a bit tight on cash since they signed Falcao for €40m. So once these clubs get back up to date they will get their prize money, bannings from Europe and so on are a long way off yet.

The English clubs will have the lawyers that can stop UEFA sadly.

Interesting that we paid 880K for Davis...that's what comes of buying in a fire sale, though admittedly we paid Rangers up front rather than try for a free.

Probably true, though it's hard to get a definitive idea of wages since they are generally not publicised.
