    Can anyone tell me:

How Much of Our turnover can we spend on Wages?
Is it turnover from last year?
Do transfer fees for players sold get included in turnover?
What happens if a club overspends?

It is predicted turn over for this coming season and it is checked every 3 months. Any money earned from transfers out is counted as income as is any parachute payments such as those Wolves get this year and next. We can not exceed 60% of our turnover on wages. If the club overspends there are penalties usually transfer sanctions ie the Football League will refuse to allow any incoming transfers that take the club over the limit they do this by refusing to register the player to play for the club. In our case the fact that Nyatanga has not signed a contract extension and Foster has had his contract terminated so he can join Rangers means we have the ability to bring in one or two new team members depending on their wages. There might be some better news on that front a friend with some links to Yeovil says GJ is considering a bid for Fontaine not a large bid but it would get him off of our wage bill it depends on if he gets Nyatanga or not.

Leagues One and Two are not subject to FFP but SCMP.

Rules as outlined above by Hawkmoonfy2.

So if we got £1m for Albie we could spend £600k on wages or 12k per week (plus Adomah's wages)

Yes, assuming we are already operating within the 60% rule.

What none of us know yet is how much "sponsorship" SL or his companies may make this season to increase our income.

Ah yes - the old "sponsor the training ground" caper (I think Man City are doing that)

There are limits to what can be done though if another club complains about unfair 'gamesmanship in sponsorship' and the Football League agree they can impose a lengthy transfer embargo, up to 3 years in the worst case I think I read.

I read something about a tax on clubs that overspend - I believe this gets distributed to the rest of the clubs

I think SoD wants to keep Liam
