Am I right in saying they spent €172m last summer? And pulled in €122m from sales. That's only €50m Chelsea and City beat that this year I think so did Spurs?. United can compete with that, unfortunately what the above article doesn't say is Spain is just a better destination than England. Real Madrid just have more attractiveness to players too, they are seen as the pinnacle of one's career, if they go there it says they are the best players in the world. Barcelona have that draw too but Real still has a bit over Barcelona and also Bayern in that respect. I don't think living in Germany has more pull than living in England though. So so it not only about the cash you have, it is also about who else wants the player.
Thats true, but a team can only have so many players in it and will that player get first team action?
I was wondering what the posters here think of FC United of Manchester. Do you see them as our long lost brothers, or as something of a rival since they stand for something pure, like they have the moral high ground?
