    Alan Pardew has to go.

Not for the sum total of his half-time team talks, which have had the effect most weeks of stopping the team performing, not for his close association with non-performing purple players ....

But because he's had his chances, every week since August, to try and get us a team that's really worth watching, but has failed spectactularly in every plaudit bar having us at top of the league for the long ball game.

He understands nothing about giving us even a token of the style we want.

He can't be fired soon enough.

I would be delighted if Ashley fired him. He looked so pathetic sweeping his quiff over in that 2nd half, sh*tting bricks. Never seen such a nervous man - and he's supposed to be the leader, no wonder they look so awful on the pitch. GET RID.

    YES, please.

Really sad to have to say it mind because I want stability at NUFC more than anybody – it is the ONLY way we'll progress.

However, NUFC will also never be successful on the pitch with Mike Ashley at the helm so it's a catch twenty-two.

However, if Newcastle United wants to develop a winning mentality that matches the stature of the club then it has to have standards that are unacceptable.
Nobody felt a successive 5th placed finish was required, but the negative efforts in the extreme this term cannot be brushed over or allowed.

Thank you and goodnight, the Geordies were right to be apathetic about his appointment in the first place.

As Pardew is getting on the team bus back home, if I was Ashley, I would be saying to him

    "Where you think you're going?"
    Pards "On the bus, Mike"
Ashley "This is the NUFC bus though?"
    Pards "I know Mike"
Ashley "For people associated with NUFC"
    Pards "Ah! :("

In all seriousness, wanting him to go is one thing - but is he going to? I don't think he is, I always said it was catch-22 - if we went down, he would be sacked but replaced with what in the Championship? Lee Clark? But if we stayed up he'd grant himself a stay of execution. That's what he'll get. I also don't think we'll fail as bad next year so I think we're in for a fairly glib few months until we accept that he's in it whilst Ashley's here.

    Ha ha, yeah this.

But then some unnamed Arab wearing a Toon shirt steps out of the shadows and says to a smug Mike:
"Well I suppose you'll be walking home or taking the chopper Mr. Ashley..." (in an Arab stylee, waving a solid gold cheque book)

"... Consider this a hostile takeover, I just bought you out and you can take Lambsarse with you!"

    Winner.

This man is linked heavily with us and he is determined next year to finish off the relegation that Pardew couldn't quite bring the fans this season

Please tell me that's an old shot of Mourinho perhaps on boxing day judging by the holiday paunch?

If it's Grant Avram I might have to find a private spot and repeatedly punch myself in the balls...

Or just start the rally for keeping Pardew :D

Pardew has stated that 'he doesn't care if Arsenal beat us 4-0 next week'

    Sums it up for me

I would give him the Arsenal game but I consider it a hell of a gamble keeping him on. He's a good guy but football management at a high level isn't for him I'm afraid.

Wow, and we wonder why the team isn't United? That's just charming innit?

Well I suppose it's thank you for thinking of me!

    Grant bloody Avram :D
