and hes under 40! Getafeâs Miguel Torres has consistently caught the eye of Premier League clubs and having played for Real Madrid, he is always considered favourably by the teams in England. The player has rubbished rumours in the past couple of years by affirming his commitment to his club in Spain but this season, the Spanish media has witnessed an increase in rumours of a departure to England. Miguel Torres is well aware of where he sees himself in both his short and long term future and according to him England is a likely destination. Queens Park Rangers and Championship club Blackburn Rovers are two teams being heavily linked with the right back and with Getafe having enough quality in their ranks to fill the gap left by Torres, itâs quite likely that he will be leaving his home to settle down in England. Torres has played for both Real Madrid junior teams as well as that of Spain and heâs an asset worth having in a team. The 26 year old was part of the first team at Santiago Bernabeu for over two seasons and won the La Liga title with the Spanish giants. One expects Torres to don the shirt of a Premier League team this coming season and hence a move to recently demoted Blackburn Rovers doesnât seem too likely. QPR on the other hand provide the right kind of ambition and environment for the player to blossom and impress in a league astronomically different from the Spanish League.
Can't see Miguel Torres making our first team as we have better players already. Don't see the point in signing a defender just for the sake of it. If we were to sign a new defender it has to be one who can go straight into the team imo.
A defender and under 30 years old .... that must have been an orgasmic experience when you read that, Flyer.
