AFC Wimbledon Current League Form: L W W D D - 8pts Gas Current League Form: D W D L D - 6pts Wimbledon have picked up some good results lately which included a 4-0 smashing of Pompey. We can barely even put a team together at the moment so for me I can only see a win for The Dons will be close though The Gas 1-2 The Dons

Previous home games against AFC Wimbledon: March 2012 - Rovers 1-0 AFC Wimbledon - The Gas ran out deserved winners on a pretty soggy pitch, and it was a game decided by a moment of quality from Mustapha Carayol, who, after coming inside and beating two defenders, hit a lovely curling shot into the far corner. Rovers threatened more goals, with Danny Woodards in particular going close. Jack Midson had AFC Wimbledon's best chance; his effort saved by Scott Bevan. April 2013 - Rovers 1-0 AFC Wimbledon - A pretty dull game, not much between the two sides for long periods with quality lacking. However, Tom Hitchcock scored a goal which no-one really saw coming, as his shot on the turn from just inside the box found the bottom corner.
We've managed to score 2 goals in 4 games, so it's either a goalless daw or a Dons win, unfortunately.
Everything you need to know ahead of tomorrow's game. Opposition: The Dons currently sit in tenth place in League Two, just four points outside the play-offs. They come into tomorrow's game on the back of a four match unbeaten run, having conceded just three goals in four games. On Tuesday night they were pegged back by Dagenham and were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at home. Opposition view: Former Rovers midfielder Harry Pell, who now plays for the Dons, said: âWe look strong though and we need to take the positives into Saturday. We battled for 90 minutes and hopefully we can keep that up, play a bit more football, and get three points on the board at Bristol. We will dust ourselves down and go there on the back of four games unbeaten. We will take that because it can only build confidence.â John Wardâs Comments: âI keep talking to the players about attitude, commitment and ability â in that order. âYou cannot put ability first because if you donât have the right attitude it only counts in bits and pieces. âWe have got ability in the side, and whilst we are a bit short in scoring goals, we have people in there who can do that, and threaten Wimbledon. âIt was hard earned point against Cheltenham, and a strong game from both teams. âIn a strange way the disallowed goal lifted everybody up, the crowd behind the goal got a bit louder and that spread onto the pitch to the team. âWe got stronger as the game went on, and that was good for the confidence of the team, especially after the way we lost the game at Burton. âI know we need to win games, but it is important not to lose them too.â Last Meeting: The last meeting between the two sides was here at the Memorial Stadium back in April. Tom Hitchcock scored the only goal of the game to give Rovers all three points. In total there has been just 4 games between the clubs with 3 Rovers victories and 1 to AFC. Team News: John Ward will be without John-Joe O'Toole and Chris Beardsley, who are both still suspended following their red cards at Burton. Seanan Clucas will also miss the game, but Ryan Brunt, Ollie Clarke and Alefe Santos could feature. Tickets: Fans are being reminded that they have until 5pm on Friday to get their Early Bird tickets for Saturday's League Two fixture against AFC Wimbledon. Supporters can save £2 on normal match day prices by buying their tickets in advance. I was always told the less attackers you have, the more the opposition defenders will be allowed to come forward. When will we learn that?
Now that's more like it...it's the effort wot dun it. 11 players chasing everything and getting in the face of the opposition. Harrold and Richards (my MoM) up front. Clarkson, who for all his lack of pace knows how to score a bluddy goal. Harrison comes on and with his first two touches wins free kicks, and with his third a penalty! Now more of the same please!!!
1. Harrold played well but I don't how the sponsors could have given him MotM! 2. Harrison played better in that last 5 mins than he had done for the rest of the season combined. 3. Everyone had a good game, it was a very hard working performance, now lets have more of the same!
