A very good win IMO, playing Stoke at the Britannia stadium is always hard, we were lucky not to get a draw... or worse! Also results went our way, Blackburn with a 99th Minute penalty, Bolton and Wolves losing! Only 5 substitutes as well, a virus and injuries. Must call on NW to get more players in Jan, shows how important depth is in a team!

Stand out players for me were Barton and Helguson, Barton putting quite a few important tackles in; also setting up two(?) of the goals, Helguson scoring two, the right place at the right time. I must commend Traore on his cross for our first.

Ferdinand looked shaky at the beginning but managed to recover well. PK looked a bit shaky after being charged at many a time by the beasts Stoke call players!

On a final note, no Barton against Norwich (5th yellow card this season), how do you think this will affect the team sheet?
    Thanks for reading :) <ok>

Brilliant result...didn't look so good after they went 1-0 up, but above all a brilliant show of character and determination to get back and keep going for the win.

It was a clear cut penalty but the ref didn't give it. Still, with their luck Paddy would've saved it...

What a win! Given the shortages, the venue and going a goal down early on, it's clear something's going right.

Character: that massive attribute which often takes so long to build up. The ability to keep going forward in the face of adversity. Warnock has to be credited for getting the team's attitude so right. They weren't at their slick-passing best today, but kept battling and had the majority of the possession.

And whilst we're still leaking a bit at the back (but competing well nonetheless), we're scoring! Heidar Helguson's Indian summer in the top drawer is a wonder to behold. He's gone up leaps and bounds (no pun intended) in my estimation. Worth his weight in gold atm.

Joey's suspension will tell us a lot about his influence on the pitch. Will we miss him? Probably. I reckon he drives more than the eye can readily pick out BUT... chance for our other captain to step up to the mark. No doubt in my mind whatsoever that Shaun Derry will do us proud.

What appeared to us to be a squad stretched thin for quality seems to have developed strength-in-depth in no time at all. As a fan yearning for entertainment I'm well chuffed... nay, absolutely mesmerised atm!! After all our close season agonies, what a start to the season! Thank you Queens Park Rangers.

Well said Brix, could of been TBGWTDT writing that.
He is always saying that team spirit & attitude is as important a virtue as any in a successful team.
    Of course, I agree 100%.
Sir Neil has done it again.

Our midfield was tremendous today and Stoke couldn't get any sort of momentum going once we'd ridden out their storming start. From the moment HH scored the equaliser we took control and could've been out of sight if SWP's shot had gone in off the post instead of out to the offside HH. On the stream I watched the half-time stats had Barton having covered over 4,900 metres in the first half and our midfield were all covering more ground than Stoke's, Warnock said in the interview that the training this week was the best he'd seen at the club and it's showing on the pitch. Well done to all concerned.
