So, we're third with all top three having five games left; three at home
    and two away.
Where are we going to finish?

My thoughts? I have a strong feeling that Grimsby are going to finish top.
With fifteen points to play for and Woking in sixth place ten points behind
us I don't think we'll drop out of the top five.
But our continued lack of fire-power, 0nly Macclesfield in the top ten(!)
have scored fewer, makes me fearful that we'll go out in the play-offs.

But if you turn those stats on their head P49 Rovers have lost less and conceded less than any other team. You can't lose if you keep clean sheets unless it's on penalties.

I think you'll go up, if not automatic, I reckon by winning at Wembley.
With 40k of your lot there it will erase a year of heartache.

I think we will win our last 5 games with Easter coming good. I just hope that will be enough.

It's Grimsby's to lose imo, because they've got the easier run in. Much as I'd like us to win the title I think we might just have a bit too much to do. I always thought we would catch Barnet, but I hadn't reckoned on Grimsby coming in with such a strong run at the finish. But we seemed prepared for the playoffs if that's what we have to do and I'm sure we'll go up by that route.

I think Grimsby will win the league. Its going to be a tough play offs. Barnet, us, Macclesfield and I think 1 of FGR or Eastleigh.

I havent voted in the poll though. I will wait until we find out who we face in the play offs 1st.

Bluddy 'ell...that's like betting on a horse when they're over the last fence!! <laugh>

BTW...if we thought being relegated out of L2 was bad enough, just imagine if
    FGR win the play-offs!! :(

On second thoughts, best not to think about it!!

Woking can't be discounted for play-offs either.

Ahh, there is still a lot of football to play yet, Rovers HAVE to win on Friday though as Barnet wont have any problems despatching Nuneaton at the Hive the following day but I just have a feeling that The 'Head' may get something at the fish factory so it could all look different again come Saturday evening.

Havng said that though if Alfreton hadn't of got that 90 +4 Pen on Saturday I think it would have been all but over for our boys, funny old game innit ?

I also think we will lose out in play offs, though I hope I am wrong. Winning in play offs is probably the best way to win it, but also the worse way to lose out!

    ;)

If we have to face Barnet or Maccs over 2 legs in the play offs I think we will win it and get to Wembley in a 1 off game and I hink we will win that as well.
However if we have to face FGR or Eastleigh over 2 legs in the play offs, i think we will lose and not get to Wembley.

So for me, we wont win the league, we will make the play offs but depending who we get in the 2 legs will make the difference in my answer.

In a few games time, the results may mae the table more clear where we all wiill finish.

Like Delsy said above, there is a lot of football left and anything can happen. We could still win the league. But being a gashead as long as I have been, I know im not that lucky!

I thinks DC's smart enough to get us through the playoffs whoever we end up playing. My guess would be a final v Barnet, but anything can happen really.

Don't think Eastleigh will make the playoffs. I still believe we will win the league and that leaves Macclesfield FGR Grimsby Barnet. If FGR blow it then Woking would be my 4th team in the playoffs. I still believe in DC to guide the team through at the first attempt and im a pessimist.

I still think you are going to get automatic - at the end of the day, Saturday's result was a good one.
    Momentum is with you

The Easter programme and the following Saturday will shake things up a bit. Whoever can bag maximum points from the next three games will put themselves in the driving seat. I'm glad we're playing on Good Friday rather than Easter Saturday, as Barnet and Grimsby are, because the extra rest day should help us.

We can definitely still go up automatically, but there are so many permutations!

I wouldn't want to upset anybody but..........
Grimsby's next two fixtures are Gateshead then Alfreton.
They played these two clubs in the same sequence earlier in the season.
They won both, 6-1 and 7-0,
