Ok so we are in to the last 3 months of the season with only 33 points left to play for. Out of our remaining 11 games we have 6 at home Liverpool Norwich Newcastle Cardiff Everton Man Utd And 5 away Crystal Palace Spurs Man City Aston Villa Swansea We are currently on 39 points and i think a minimum 14-17 points from these games is a very realistic target that will leave us with a total of 53-56 points which last year was good enough for 8th place which is exactly where 99% of this forum think we will finish. Sorry i've just wasted 5 mins of you life nothing to see here!!!!
Will 39/40 be enough for safety this Season though, it looks a bit dodgy around the basement. I said 13th would be good enough for me, how many would we need to acheive that?
Surely we should get a minimum of 13-15 points, so final total of 52-54. I would hope that we might get more, but still a good second season. The only reason that we might feel disappointed is that we had such a great start, but that was partly due to avoiding too many top clubs.
Of the home games, I'd expect: Liverpool lose Norwich win Newcastle draw Cardiff win Everton draw Man Utd lose And 5 away Crystal Palace win Spurs lose Man City lose Aston Villa draw Swansea draw Naturally that won't happen, but we'll drop some points we should ahve won and maybe get some we didn't expect. The above adds up to 13, leading to 52 points. Overall, I think I'll be happy if we finish with a positive goal difference!
