Wow, seems hardly believable that thoughts can already be turning to the end of the season! And what an incredible season it's been so far!
Highlights for me have been Holt's superb performances; the brilliant additions to the squad; Lambert's incredible way of using all the players in the squad and not relying on a first 11.

Anyway, I've been looking at the remaining fixtures, and have had a punt on what I think our final points total will be: 50.

Over the last 5 years this points total yielded a position of 8th, 9th, 10th, 10th and 11th.

Think we'd all be happy with any of those!!

I'm too scared to make predictions, I know we are pretty much safe, but I don't want to get carried away. We're doing an incredible job, in all honesty I would still be happy with 17th place. Holt's contribution this year has been immense, he fought his way back into the starting line up and that is a credit to his strength of character.

Based on the current rate of points collection I predict 53 points and a good mid-table finish . :smiley-finger007::smiley-finger007::smiley-finger007::smiley-finger007:
I think Wigan are already relegated and the other 2 from Blackburn, Bolton , QPR and Wolves. Definitely started to fall away at the bottom now.<wah> If West Brom win tomorrow there will be an 8 point gap to the bottom 5.
Personally would like to see QPR go down, just to show Fernandez that buying a bunch of PL has beens is not the way to go.:emoticon-0100-smile

OTBC......................maybe by mid march we can be dreaming of the Europa League, you never know we are still in the FA cup<party>

So far 1.4 points per game. 38X1.4 = 53. Simples!

I think it will depend on injuries to our attacking players, so far we have mainly lost defenders. If holt, Morrison or pilkington get injured the goals could dry up

It would be fantastic if we finish mid table as this means more £mm from the league for
    Finishing higher

Interesting that after our excellent wins yesterday and v Bolton last week, people - even MOTD prats, have suddenly stopped using the clichéd Blackpool analogy <ok>

Both sides got a lot of praise last night on MotD, Lineker even went as far as to jokingly suggest we could push for Europe

Yeah, a West Brom win today would really cut the bottom 5 adrift. Before yesterdays result I thought Wigan were dead and buried, but it's so tight down there thats its anyones game. I'm not sure what their respective run-ins are like, but that may well be the deciding factor.
