The more I look at the list of teams in this league the more I realise that we are in for a much tougher season.

As long as we can maintain our Fortress St Mary's thing going we should be ok. West Ham could struggle this season if they have to let too many of their stars leave. Still think they could do a Pompey and implode.
Leicester and Leeds for top two.

Reading
Leicester
Birmingham
Burnley
Leeds
Forest
-----------
Peterborough
Coventry
Crystal Palace

Couldn't care about the rest. Who remembers last season though. Everyone said Middlesborough to win the league, and by christmas they were in the bottom 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think West Ham, Leicester & Leeds will get promoted, with Palace, Doncaster and Peterborough getting relegated. Anything other than the bottom 3 for Saints will make me a happy man, but if we could get in the top half that woul be awesome.

After the euphoria of last season, have now returned to the normal state for a Saints fan: anxious terror. The opposition look better every time I look at the league. I hope we get a good start to the season to settle the nerves.

Birmingham and Leicester are looking likely contenders. Leicester are being linked with some useful players, Yakubu and Nugent amongst others. It could be a long hard season with some morbid posts on here every Saturday afternoon.

33 comments and no-one has put up a table with Pompey going down <hug>

With survival being our initial target for the duration of the CVA I'd happily go along with any of those posted [Saints finishing above Pompey is the least of our worries for the time being]

There is a lot to be said for that. I heard a little rumour that your manager was looking for another post is this true? Does any one know? Haven't seen his name bandied about any where for any of the top jobs thought he might of stood a chance for the Fulham one.

That's naughty Beddy. Upsetting our neighbours like that. Cotterill has been brilliant for them, but I suspect he wants to talk to the new owners. He never managed to pin Chanderai down. I don't think Portsmouth will be relegated either if they get sorted, but the only thing that concerns me next season is Saints.
