Premier League star Steven Fletcher filmed himself spitting on the back of a rickshaw driver taking him on a night out. Then the shameless £12million Sunderland striker proudly posted a picture of the cabbieâs phlegm-covered jacket on Instagram with the message âAl spit on ya back ya c***.â Scottish international Fletcher also filmed the sickening incident on his mobile as the rickshaw took him and a pal through the streets of London. During the video, which he also posted, Fletcher, 26, can be seen grinning alongside his giggling friend. Footage and images of the vile incident â which drew appreciative comments from several of his followers â were later removed from the playerâs account. Black Cats fans will be shocked by the behaviour of their £40,000-a-week striker. There are around 150 bicycle rickshaw â or pedicab â drivers working in London. They are mainly foreign students striving to pay for their studies. In stark contrast to *Fletcherâs wealthy lifestyle, many struggle to make enough to cover the expense of running the cab, despite working dangerous night shifts in busy traffic. The Scot is not the first Sunderland player to have been in trouble off the field in recent seasons. Last year midfielder Stephane Sessegnon, 29, now with West Brom, was banned after admitting drink driving. Fletcher shares a £650,000 country home in Co Durham with beauty queen partner Rachel Monaghan, 21, and daughter Darcy-Mae. Fashion-mad Fletcher sparked fury among fans in 2012. He tried to flog his new *clothing range to 100,000 Twitter followers just hours after a Scotland defeat made it almost impossible for them to qualify for this summerâs World Cup finals.
I despise people who spit on others so I hope it's not true. It kind of rings true because of the specific details in the story but it doesn't tie in with my impression of the man. If anyone did that to me they would get battered put it that way, rich or not you can't behave like a **** and get away with it.
I hope you're right mate I really do. It might seem like a small thing and nothing to do with football but some things just really get under your skin. Like you say it's probably nonsense.
where's the instagram pic? no smoke without fire like Premier League star Steven Fletcher filmed himself spitting on the back of a rickshaw driver taking him on a night out. i know fletcher is a bit of a **** but i'm not going to believe anything unless there is ****ing video proof... the mirror print the story but NO video/photos, even though they describe the story.. so innocent til proven guilty
IF true... exactly.. i think he's a **** for other reasons.. but the mirror made the story and said they had videos/photos... but they didn't provide any... so don't judge yet!! and this is coming from me
It sound wayyyy too random and yet specific to be made up. I'm therefore inclined to believe it probably is true and should my assumption be correct - Fletcher can **** RIGHT OFF OUT OF MY CLUB AND NEVER RETURN and NEVER TO INSULT OUR AND BY DONNING THE SHIRT AGAIN. These overpaid ***** bastards are nothing but hired hands and they show no allegiance or respect to the Club. As for Fletcher, I would like to remove his testicles from his body permanently, spit all over his face and escort him to live ain a remote African village so **** OFF FLETCHER and DO NOT EVER wear a red-and-white shirt on my behalf ever again (if true).
it wouldn't surprise me with him.. but i still can't believe it until there is conclusive proof and i don't even like the guy
Well, it would surprise me totally tbh and it's such a crass, boneheaded thing to do AND then post pictures of, that I just don't beleive it happened without pictures as proof. Don't all jump on the tabloid bandwagon guys as newspapers are the biggest bunch of lying bastards on the planet.
If true, it's abhorrent behaviour. BIG IF mind, considering it is the mirror who are full of **** and seem to have it in for us. I can't think of one journo at that rag who is any good....
I agree. However, if this is all the Mirror can find as 'an exclusive' they need to sack their journalists. This is a football weekend in the middle of the transfer window but this is a 'big story', a player who's about to leave. To show what a dreadful club we are they say, 'Last year midfielder Stephane Sessegnon, 29, now with West Brom, was banned after admitting drink driving.' So a player who's already left is 'not the first Sunderland player to have been in trouble off the field in recent seasons'. Yes, it's a real hotbed of crime and debauchery at Sunderland
