I was at work last night so, didn't get to the Arsenal game. Could not listen to the radio either. so I decided at around 2.30a.m. to log on and read the oppinions of both Stoke and Arsenal fans regarding the game. I read a few comments on here, then I went over to the bbc 606 board.

First off, to only lose by the odd goal I guess isn't too bad. Especially whan I was expecting us to get well basically, mullered. We didn't and some Gunners were erm, quite generous with their comments with regards to our " Stoke's" performance.
To those I say, thank you we appreciate that.

A few and it's only a small minority even said that the Theo tackle and resulting injury wasn't that bad. In fact at least one said, Theo just fell awkwardly and it's a sprain.
Others too saying, " these things happen".

Then I scrolled/read through numerous threads on the Arsenal board.
I leave it to you and any other Stoke fan who wants to waste their time reading what I consider. "Complete and utter garbage" I suggest that if any of you have not yet done so. Take the time to read just a couple of numerous threads which not only insult our club, our player's and Tony Pulis. But, we the Stoke fans.

For once, I didn't comment that's why I directed this to FTC in especially.
I modded your'e comment the other day, that's now sorted.

After reading quite a few but, not all of those comments I really wish I had left it there for all to read mate.
Seem's that even though even Arsene Wenger, I've seen his interview this morning. Did NOT have anything but good to say about Stoke City. He even gave us a compliment, at least I thought he did. Fair play to Arsene and a few Gunners fans too.

Now before any Gunners fans jump on this thread. And, no doubt they will I did not make any comments on the Arsenal board. Why? because if, according to some or their fans. We are all "Cavemen" "******s" " "They can't wait to see the back of Stoke City and Mr Pulis" Just few of the dozens of comments I did read.

What is the point. And, I KNOW I didn't have to read them. What does worry me is that so many fans can feel such obvious hatred for fans that they don't even know.

What I did read on the Arsenal board make me "sick"
Now, I'm the first to admit, we ain't pretty to watch sometimes. Yes, sometimes we "get stuck in" which team doesn't? I don't mind the fact that certain fans do not like Stoke City but when fans start to get personal. I say **** IT!

Enough said by me I leave it to other Stoke fans and can't wait to hear you own views.
And Fill in the corners, I won't delete you for any swear words, I promise.

Finally, thank you to those Arsenal fans who were gracious in victory and, there were a few who were<ok>
Well done on the win. GOOD LUCK this weekend and, I wish you well v Barca and if you do win the Premier League I will say well done.

To those who still want to try and insult not only my own intelligence but also those of my fellow Stoke fans. Feel free to do so.
Let's face it, If your'e going to throw personal insults. Type them where we can all see them. Maybe one day, I might just might understand, WHY it is that you can not forgive/why do you insist on berating everything to do with Stoke City F.C. and you hate us so much, and I've read that word more than once.

Still angry but, I guess I shouldn't be, Signed

There is a lot of bad feeling between our fans from when Ramsey was jeered off the pitch, and it wasn't exactly helped by a section of your support cheered when our players we injured last night. Plus internet forums always seem to invite bitterness and hatred you would extremely rarely see in real life.

    Robin,
Like I said, I wasn't at the game, only saw the goal and aftermatch interviews mate.
If Stoke fans did in fact cheer when the two player's were taken off. which, I haven't heard until now.

They too are a DISGRACE to MY CLUB! I hope that a Stoke fan who was at the game can confirm this Robin.

Good 3pts for you by the way, it put's the pressure back onto Utd now. <ok>

Pottermouth,I know exactly how you feel. The comments are sickening and I just wish our fans would ignore them rather than comment or trade insults, because we should be better than that.Did our fans cheer when Ramsey was carried off? I thought he was applauded off,but I suppose we`ve got our share of knobheads as well!!Like you I hate being tarred with the same brush. To class all Stoke fans as neanderthals etc says more about them than us!! Maybe I`m just getting too sensitive in my old age.

    Potts, good comments mate

Have not read the asenal board on 606 (thats their club they can write & say anything they want about any team ) as i've just spent 3 hours reading on 606 stoke board.

like you say potts, quite a few arsenal posters were gracious with there comments & for that i applaud them :emoticon-0148-yes:

I have not replied to any thread on the Stoke City board from last night, because what is the point?

Just look @ how many threads were created by Arsenal " Fans "

95% of their so called FANS on our board last night are obviously glory hunters, who forget the late 80's early 90's when a certain George Graham was their manager, so why respond to people slating our team & manager when TP is copying their managers blueprint from 20 years ago.

Seems to me that these glory hunters only read the papers & fall in love with what the press say about Arsenal.

Now don't get me wrong, i like arsenal as a footballing team but (like arsenal fans might say about us), as a club i DETEST there MANAGER, PLAYERS & CERTAIN FANS on internet websites.

PS Potts i just wrote a post without swearing <yikes>

I thought we played very admirable on Wednesday and in all honesty didn't deserve to lose but it goes to show EVERYONE something, we CAN compete in the Premier League. Like us or not we are here to stay so to all of the supporters that dislike Tony Pulis and his management team, Stoke City and us Stoke City supporters we are going to be here for a very long time so you better get used to seeing us Potters on Match of the Day because we are here to stay.
I has a conversation with my ARSEnil supporting friend and he couldn't believe how well we played, i've been banging on about how we'd show them how good we actually are on a surface that is fit for a shorter passing game and we did just that. Even though we lost, I thought that us Stokies can be very proud of that performance on Wednesday.

If those ARSEnil supporters want to write all the infested bile that they can conjure up then I say let them, they aren't proper football supporters, real football supporters will realise when their team has been in a battle and will be able to admire a team not for who they are but for the style of football that they adopt, we all know there's a difference from a shorter passing game and then a backward and square passing game whilst gaining no yardage at all. So I say to all the ARSenil supporters who are able to use their brain that yes I may despise your manager because he's an arrogant French berk and because he comes out with so much tripe it must make you laugh at times and yes I can't say i'm overly enamoured with the theatrical display from a large proportion of your playing squad, BUT I know a good footballing side when I see one and one that is developing the English game which will benefit not just England, but Scotland, Wales and a large proportion of other nations as well.

So I say well done, well done to Liam Brady and his team of youth coaches.

    :)

  10. Hi Potts, sorry have not been on for a few days. I was at the game and I don't remember the Stoke fans around me cheering when Walcott was taken off. YES there were a few youngsters who were chanting stuff about Ramsey earlier in the game that I and others found totally objectionable, but they were certainly in the minority (alcohol fuelled) and most Stokies were just enjoying the game and supporting the lads. We backed up ShawX as much as we could, bearing in mind there were 1,300of us in the 60K crowd. To be fair to the Arsenal fans, they didn't give him loads of grief, it could have been much worse imo.

One of my best mates is a decent genuine Gooner and not once in all the years I have known him has he ever laid into Stoke or Pulis, not once. Guy at work is a Gooner too and he is the same. Just hope that we can leave the young WUM idiots behind when 606 ends it days. KTF

Thanks for that info matie <ok>
I think you know that I work at Man Airport? And dozens of real and I mean real Utd fans. NEVER ever have a go at me about Stoke City. Also a couple of Liverpool fans likewise great fellas all of them.

I'm sure the Goon's won't be around for too much longer. And today's result just about sums them up perfectly.
Now they turn on their own team/player's and Manager. Typical deluded and LOSER'S <laugh>
