Fifa world team of the year

    •Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)
    •Dani Alves (Barcelona)
    •Gerard Pique (Barcelona)
    •Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
    •Marcelo (Real Madrid)
    •Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)
    •Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid)
    •Xavi (Barcelona)
    •Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
    •Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid)
    •Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

Anyone disagree with this team made up of Barca and RM players other than Falcao.

It seems strange that the whole team is made up of La Liga players.

Did discuss this in another thread. Only missing some German players and maybe Cavani is close behind Falcao. Otherwise its fair.

  7. Can't see Chelsea being too happy with John Terry jumping around in his Chelsea kit whilst he's meant to be out injured <whistle>

Not sure about Casillas - he's been a bit dodgy recently. I think Neuer would have been a good shout.

Hasn't Dani Alves been a bit in the past year as well?

I think Ashley Cole should have been left back, ahead of Marcelo.

    No complaints about Falcao <ok>

A deluded Spud on the bbc.

Phil Durrant on Twitter: "Bale deserves to be in the World XI. Consistent world class performances for Tottenham throughout the whole of last season."

Marcelo is the stand out joke selection imo. I would have Lahm, Coentrao, Baines and Jordi Alba ahead of him.

I think this team is true reflection of how **** the prem really is compared to the Spanish league in terms of quality.

Van Persie should be included. I get the impression that the Fifa folk only watch Spanish football.

Van Persie is a top player but for me he would not get near that team unless he wants to play left back.

If it were European Footballer no problems with that team, but what about Neymar, and other Corinthians players, and other South Americans, think it is wrong a little bit.

    The team is bollocks..

Agree neuer should be ahead of cassilas, Ashley cole should be in, I would put Bale instead of alonso and I would put RVP ahead of Falcao. Mata should probably be in also.

The Spanish league is a joke, only three teams can be considered title challengers, and really only two of those have the consistency to be taken seriously... :emoticon-0112-wonde

So why did Athletic Bilbao outplay Utd over 2 legs in the Eurpoa and Athletico Madrid win it and then tear Chelsea a new one in the Super cup.

Is it because Sky/Talkshite tell us the Premier League is the best.

Most exciting yes, Best in terms of Quality, my A*se!!!

The CL this year has put that tired old BS to bed!
