s**te. Holland number 1 and England number 4? I think they need to re-think their formula for working these fantasy rankings out.
They are worked out on the average results of a team Over a long period of time. England are 4 because they tend to beat the teams they are expected to beat, were as some of the other nations may drop points against the smaller side. Obviously England havent been past the last 8 in a World Cup since 1990, but the ratings are not based purely on the WC. Holland are number 1 for the same reasons, despite the Spanish being world champs, the Dutch have proved more consistent in the qualifiers. The Dutch actually won every single game including the whole qualifying group to get to the WC final, and had they won they would have been the first team ever to win every game to win a world cup
