Stick 2 fingers up at FIFA and don't contest the 2022 qualifying

It's not like we'll come anywhere near winning it anyway !!

If we stuck two fingers up, who would care??....I think we should stop moaning about everything and get on with it......IMO still the best sporting event ever..
The good thing for when it will be played, is that the players should be at their peak and not knackered at the end of a long season......There's always a bright side!

If all European countries did it then there would be no meaningful World Cup

The comments of Phil Neville today made me smile. Does he really think that England players will be fresher and more capable for a WC to be held during November/December ? The bloke's living in in Cloud Cuckoo Land as all of the other European players who ply their trade in the Premiership will be equally fresh.

Ought to have done it years ago Shiny.
Couldn't care a flying f*ck any more about the national side.
As for Phil Neville's view - it doesn't hold water.
Our Premier league is overloaded with foreigners - Are they exhausted ?
We won't pull out - all the FA 'hangers on' would miss out on their Jollies.

Are all European clubs moaning that it's being held in the winter? Not that I know of, most take breaks around that time anyway..
It's true our players will be fresher, doesn't stop them from being crap though,,,,,,but that's another topic...I just love the world cup and it's a better tournament when we're in it......I think we just moan for the sake of it, I think it would be more constructive if we concentrated and came up the reason why our English players can't achieve the ultimate prize in football..

You don't care about the national side because we're useless at it, by not being in it won't surely help the cause!

lets see what the score is in a year or two, regarding Islamic fundamentalists etc, out there, its too damn dangerous, can you imagine cost of insuring players, no I think it will be moved to a country with a history and a football culture,

    Yes, 1For you are mistaken.
You wrote 'You don't care about the national side because we're useless at it'.
    Hence why I wrote
'How the bloody hell do you know what I think'.

To be clear, I don't care about the national side has nothing to do with us being useless.
I hate our game being governed by Blatter and his cronies.
    Qatar FFS.
    The voting corruption.
It took that English goal against Germany to eventually persuade those daft tw*ts about goal line technology.
I could cite all night umpteen other examples.

No, I honestly wouldn't care if we never played another England International.
I want nothing to do with a corrupt bunch of old farts.

I think there is corruption in most things that concern money...not just Blatter & his cronies. Do you not think there is corruption within the FA?
    I'm smiling now!!

Could well be a major factor in the Middle East, and a WC is certainly a prime target for terrorism

This mess demonstrates one good thing i.e. that football is now a world wide sport in which people want to invest . The facts are that foreign money now controls many Premiership (and Championship) clubs and these owners inevitably want a piece of the action in their own country/continent. I have no doubt that market forces helped make the original decision although I think everyone accepts that the decision was not thought through. Having said that the decision was made and there is too much money involved to pull the plug. So a contingency solution has been drawn up and we who little or no influence must accept it warts and all. He who pays the piper.............

I like Pack, Korey and Freeman.
And Wilbrham, Flint, Cunningham and Joe Bryan.
Matt Smith's fantastic and I'll be amongst many showing our appreciation this w/e.

Not so keen on Ayling Williams and Agard (but still like them).

As for Fielding............like him but he's not good enough.

Killing the World Cup in Qatar is easy. Get all Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ededivise, and Serie A teams to agree to play through the winter and to fine any players that miss matches during this period. The World Cup can go ahead, but they'll need to pick out of contract players or those in second-tier leagues.

The real question is whether Bristol City will be in the Premier League by 2022. If that's the plan, and it were to happen, Lansdown (or whoever owns us at that point) would have to think long and hard about this.
