    "Crisis? What is a crisis?"

I cringed when I heard that.

The ultimate self-denial and the whole 'corruption cartel' needs to be broken up and started again.

No-one has faith in it any more and the longer that the major sponsors such as Coke have doubts over its credibility and integrity; the better.

There are calls for the 2022 vote to be re staged due to the allegations that an email from the 2nd most powerful man in FIFA that the 'bid has been bought' by the Qatarian backers.

Should this prove true (and there is international backing for FIFA to disprove it), then FIFA can be investigated by outside authorities for certain evasions of tax as these 'incentives' could never have been declared legally.

They never managed to convict Al Capone for a murder but his tax records got him in the end.

If the image of FIFA is tarnished; the largest sponsors will back away to stop their reputation being stained with the association. This will cost FIFA most of their income and the only way to get that back is for change in a clear and public manner to regain trust with the supporters (football and financial)

The clock is ticking for the current operating style of FIFA.

Just think how many pies Blatter has had his podgy little fingers in. If he never made another penny he could live like a King for the rest of his life.

Blatter can't see the reasoning to postpone them as his opponent dropped out due to 'issues' so he wants to press ahead with them.

I'd piss myself laughing he if still lost :)

We've got a similar thread on our board....

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/49946-Sack-Sepp-Blatter!!!

I can't believe this twat is still trying to hold on to power after everything that has gone on under his fat nose. He just seems totally oblivious to the fact that FIFA's name is mud in every country around the world, well nearly every country (Russia & Qatar) <whistle>

Where there's muck there's money, and Blatters as happy as a pig rolling around in it.

We wont have a break away due to FIFA giving high jobs to the big continental countries. While the small countries are set at FIFA due to them having the same voting rights as the big countries

Getting rid of the corruption should be the priority.

I just don't see much happening...We've known FIFA to be ****e for years - Do you not remember seeing Blatter and Platini celebrating when Barca beat Manure a few years back in the CL? They've always been corrupt and the only reason we (our FA) are kicking off about it now is that they cold shouldered us!

The fact is, FIFA is worth so much money in advertising and merchandise that I don't see much changing. Perhaps 1 or 2 will go, but no more...Restructuring the whole thing would cost too much money and take too much effort for a group of 'scratch-my-back' bellends who're too used to abusing the system to recognise any wrong doing!

I am delighted at all the outrage directed at FIFA and in particular Sepp Blatter, he clearly thinks he is untouchable and does not need to account for his behaviour. I think he is involved in the corruption, he on the other hand whilst handing over Jack Warner and Bin Hammin (spelling) claimed he can only deal with the delegates he is given. Even if he has not taken money directly, he knew of corruption so he is at least guilty of complacency.
Sam Dealaney a journalist likened Blatter to Gaddaffi, jokingly asking when we should send in NATO, he clearly will not resign even for the good of FIFA. I think a four year tenure is too long anyway, Blatter is now 75, (old git) and far too old.
