So we have Bessone confirmed ... but really, WTF does FIFA think it's doing. Does anybody have any inside skinny on what the problem is and when the other two are going to be confirmed / denied and why.
Bloody FIFA, why take so long when the paperwork is supposed to be correct. Brendan is convinced we have done everything right, hope this doesn't turn out to be another David Edgar saga. He seems to like Situ and it would be a shame to loose this guy.
I don't think we'd lose Situ because I presume we've already committed to the transfer and have the player under contract, but he wouldn't be eligible to play in Prem until we get the FIFA approval of the registration sorted out which might not be until next Jan. The League says we're ok. We could have sent all the paperwork back and forth twice by pigeon by now. If the paperwork is good the only hang-up I can see are communications with the French FA for Situ and the Algerian FA for the other guy .... unless those agents are getting in the way. There was commentary in an article in the Post about multiple agents claiming representation rights over Situ.
