Reading about the way Championship clubs are now bracing themselves for FFP it makes me wonder what our serious hopes and expectations for next season would now be if we had missed out on promotion. Would we have to sell before we could buy as many clubs will have to do? Would we have to sell just to fall within FFP regulations and avoid penalties like some of the more high spending clubs might be confronted with? Would we have been able to compete with the relegated EPL clubs on a shoestring budget? Would we have lost Steve Bruce? Fate seems to have saved us from an uncertain future and the possibility of many more years in the Championship (or worse).
