Why? The only thing they're guilty of is having AMBITION...... I know it's a strange concept, but, it does exist.
They will get a hefty fine Basically because the corrupt officials of UEFA know they can afford to pay the fine And they cannot wine and dine themselves on player embargoes
Think last time they also got the massive penalty of only being able to nominate 22 instead of 25 players for their Champions League squad. This time it will probably be that they can only play players who earn less than 500000quid per week.
If the reports are true they need to be banned from European football, given a points penalty in the league and fined heavily but City's official have probably already paid the bungs up front to FIFA - who lets face it arent exactly angels themselves when it comes to proper financial conduct...
If true they should be: - banned from Europe for up to 5 years - relegated - banned from the transfer market for up to 2-3 years
Breaking the rules on Ambition? FFP is just a way of undermining and restricting clubs breaking into UEFAs cartel of elite clubs.
Man City are under investigation by PL, FA and UEFA. It's laughable, really. The lack of any real moderation and flagrant disregard for the wellbeing of the game created abominations like City - and now they're crying about it?! ****ing grow up, you overpaid, underworked tossers - you made this ****ing mess in the first place. That they all hide behind **** like FFP is pathetic - grow some bollocks and do something about the loan system, about hoovering up young talent, about spending astronomical amounts to buy success, about out-paying on wages any other club in the world. Pussies, the lot of them. Only the Bundesliga has any self respect. Big shout out to Ajax Amsterdam, too, for rinsing that other ****ing shambles of a club, Real Madrid, out of the CL.
FFP was only brought in to try and sto the likes of City getting access to the financial trough the likes of Utd Liverpool Madrid Barca etc had been gorging from for years,it was for no other reason Now you see clubs like Bolton struggling under the weight of their debts, the Oystons asset stripping Blackpool, SISU trying to run Coventry into the ground so they can get the stadium on the cheap, Portsmouth being used for money laundering, clowns like Ashley and the Venkys and, last but not least, the Glazers. All of them carry on virtually unmolested but which owner gets all the stick? The one who revives a club on its uppers, funds it generously, without debt yet makes it self-sustaining, transforms the local area and has his team playing the best football the league has ever seen. And you wonder why we don’t care about the champions league
A blind man can see why it was brought in. Keep the status quo and penalise any club attempting to break into the cartel.
Agree with most of what you say but as Jojo says City have abused the hoovering up of young talent knowing most would never make it but loaning them out to make money off them. That has to be stopped for the good of the game.
They'll just buy their way out of it . Personally I think FFP is pointless because its about money there's no hiding from it.
