Due to the OB, the bunch of ****ers:

Hull City have cancelled the pre-season friendly match against Dutch side Feyenoord.

Scheduled to take place at the KC Stadium on Tuesday 26th July, the match has been cancelled in consultation with Police on the grounds of public safety.

    Public safety? Bomb threat?

Oh, and I couldn't go, so I'm not bothered!

    Grimsby away instead?

That's it? This is a ****ing disgrace.

    "Public safety" my ****ing arse.

Could someone please explain what exactly would have harmed the public? A stray football maybe? An overly-enthusiastic throw-in?

    ****s.

Surely it's got to be something relatively serious? As much as we like to slag off the Old Bill, we've put on hundreds of matches, including friendlies and they've policed them. So there's got to be some reason.

I saw on a Feyenoord forum that some Dutch fans were pleased about the prospect of trouble, but that's a minor detail. The piggy bastards are still ****s.

I thought it had been cancelled due to being replaced by a transfer-related friendly between City and Crawley Town :cheesy:

I've heard that City were losing money putting the game on.

I booked fecking flights into Humberside Airport on the 25th for me and my son to come to that game then the arrange a friendly with Liverpool on the 23rd and cancel the Feyenoord game.
Them tickets cost me nigh on 2000 quid and even if I have lots of other things I'm going to be doing while I'm home the dates were set for City fixtures, I think an email to the club is in order

I'm not all that fussed, but calling it off on the grounds of public safety is a complete load of ****. Those who had booked flights/ferry crossings and planned a week in Hull are the ones really losing out.

I think a few on here had called it right when this fixture was made they said the old bill and john cooper would put a stop to it.Over the years Humberside police have been a joke when it comes to hull city.Moving away fans into home sections.Closing all pubs before kick off till two hours after the game.Bringing games forward to noon kick off.I bet there is more just cant think at the moment.

Surely this has to be down to more than a few rumours about a few Feyenoord fans looking for trouble? Although I suppose with it being a friendly and seen to be of little importance maybe that is all it takes.

Hello peeps, not been on for a while as heartily sick & tired of Bullard threads & hard of thinking posters.....however this has my blood boiling!!!!!! Am I being daft here but did someone maybe not take the time to think about it all before arranging it : ie talking to Plod,etc.,.....? What's wrong with these people.....? Maybe just me ranting but as witnessed above there's people spending hard earned wonga to get here and they pull a stunt like this.....they're shutting the NOTW for talking to Plod (allegedly) but we could've talked to them and it wouldn't have cost a penny bean......grrrrrrrr...............

What are we going to do if we ever get into a European competition, be the first ever club to decline the invitation?

oh, and whilst I'm here and on the basis that I can't be arsed to go through the various other threads, if anyone tells me that the Ginga Ninga is underated and a proper footballer then they haven't been to the same games as me ie: most of them - the man is f**king hopeless......right, I'll get me coat......
