Just having a quick look at SSN and see Brendan Rogers has ruled himself out of the Chelsea job after being linked - anyone else pleased Swansea are getting so many plaudits as hopefully it means more clubs will be after Rogers and leave Lambert at Carrow Road for atleast a few more years?

Also, seen Gregg Wylde has left Rangers and is available on a free - anyone know much about him? I know he plays for Scotland u21 and has been touted as a top player for the future. Another Shaun Maloney or a genuine prospect? Thoughts?

    Cheers all.

I think Rodgers said that he wanted to build a career not stifle one, or words to that effect when asked about the Chelsea job. Great putdown <laugh>

Yeah was a brilliant quote, was laughing - "I want to build my career, not kill it."

I haven't been approached yet, but, I'll do it for 3 months for £13m!
I am qualified as "I do know a little" about football. <ok>

only a little eh ILD? ;)

does anyone else think capello might end up at chelsea? i've got a feeling thats who they'll end up with. not sure how they'd feel about that!

greg wylde is a decent prospect irdan. could have a few suitors and i thought what he did yesterday showed humility and he leaves with his dignity in tact. he is generally used as a wide man although he has played full back occasionally and also up front. left footed, good pace and good technique - i'd liken him to a young adam johnson when he was at boro. not quite sure if he'll get anywhere near the same level as johnson but has potential. think he'll end up at a championship club to begin with to be honest but could be worth the gamble and loan him out maybe? he's played quite a lot for rangers but i don't think he's quite at the level we need yet <ok>

The irony of Rangers trying to steal Grant Holt, now we have free picks of ANY of their team :cheesy:

Couldn't agree more but sadly I don't think that they have many players who could cut it in the EPL - look at the likes of Kris Boyd and Scott McDonald - top scorers for either half of the old firm for a few seasons (I think KB is the all-time top scorer in the SPL) and yet down in the Championship with Boro they didn't exactly pull up many trees.

I think it says everything about how far we have come that Rangers would put in a cheeky bid for GH and that none of their players could probably make it into our first team. Happy days.

maurice edu is a pretty good player. not much else i'm afraid other than the keeper mcgregor but he'll end up at a top club i expect. how about taking john fleck, nephew of robert? he was highly rated although i must confess i've never seen anything from the lad to suggest why he is! he had a trial with man united a couple of years ago so must have something <ok>

kyle 'laugh'erty - absolutely no way. awful attitude and apart from the odd glimpse of potential a terrible player. steven davis has done really well for rangers but he hardly pulled up any trees at villa - improved but not sure he's any better than howson or hoolahan to be honest <ok>

carra, maybe i should state that my opinions of the above players are my own personal opinions and not necessarily those of premier or football league clubs so as to avoid incidents like yesterday <doh>

Why would we want a Ginger, interesting, retired snooker player?
