i think a more agile keeper would have saved one/both goals yesterday after seeing them on the FL show. the 5 subs only looks to have hurt us. surely a midfielder (or a player, not a plank) instead of doherty would have been a better choice of sub yesterday. we should try and get some money in for francis, elliott (would like him to stay, but he wont sign up) and benson so we can get replacements in who'll make an impact on the first team. i actually wouldnt mind resting the whole first team on tues. its gonna be a long season what with 46 league games, league cup, fa cup and black and decker trophy. still happy with the start we've made
The present subs policy is wrong in my opinion. Away 1 x GK, 2 x Def, 1 x Mid, 1 x Att Home 1 x GK, 1 x Def, 2 x Mid, 1 x Att An option for home games would be to have no goalkeepers on the bench and use Taylor as the emergency goalkeeper, this would allow us to have another defender on the bench.
personally, i'd just like us to keep formation. we train everyday as a 442, putting doherty on just brings the worst bits from last year into this year. he's completely pants. if we have to go defensive, bring on a midfielder or a deep lying forward if your gonna take bwp off. we'll always have a gk on the bench. is what happens when the managers favourite is a goalie and he's spent or bought in 3 keepers of his own.
Robbie pulled off an absolutely world class save yesterday from a point-blank header. If it were not for Robbie we may have lost to Scunny.
