FERRIE BODDE has told the doubters to share his belief he will be back in a Swansea City shirt in the Premier League. Bodde prompted yet more fears about his playing future when his comeback from long-standing knee problems was aborted in pre-season after just 15 minutes.

Having been forced to go in for further surgery and a third operation on the knee – albeit a minor one this time – Swans boss Brendan Rodgers has conceded that the supremely talented midfielder was at a critical point in his attempts of returning to the game.

But the 29-year-old has hit back at suggestions that the injury was about to get the better of him, playing down the significance of the surgery and insisting he is desperate to repay the faith shown in him by Rodgers and the Swans. - icWales Link: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2011/10/06/ferrie-bodde-vowing-to-be-part-of-swansea-s-premier-plans-91466-29546688/

That was the last update regarding our legend, which was by way of an interview with Chris Wathan, that interview took place around the 6th of October, where Bodde would be due back for training in 8 weeks, which brings us roughly to where we are now, so any of you Jacks that watch the boys train, would appreciate any info regarding his training progress this month.

I think it's fair to say, that Bodde is not likely to appear on the bench until sometime in January, if at all, but at the end of the day, you have to take Ferrie's words here, on the chin, so let's see how things transpire with any news we can get from those Jacks that watch the boys on the training ground up at the Glamorgan, this I'm afraid is the only way we will get any news, in the absence of anything from the club!...........

Until he's retired officially I'll always hope to see him playing for us again. Also, welcome back Badfinger! Long time no see.

Well like I've said before, we have to take it on the chin, till he's announced otherwise, or retires from the game!................

    Right, it's clicked with me...
    Badfinger is Jager!!!

Without a doubt. Isn't it a bit funny how as soon as Jager left badfinger happens to come back.

Good to have you here, hope to see you around more (you know what I mean)

fans are over expecting what bodde can do now. give him a chance yes but dont expect him to be our saviour as you will be disappointed. no player has ever come back after 4 years out of the game and been a success. i have not given him any thought of ever being good enough when we were in the championship let alone the premiership as history shows he is too fragile and one of the worse injury prone players i can ever recall....

Badfinger is not Jager! Bad used to do our great matchday threads on the old BBC 606, when Jager was called Teso, Anyway hope we can get some news from the training ground soon, regarding Bodde................<cheers>

Are you sure he was called Teso? I do remember Teso, but he didn't post a huge amount.
I also remember those matchday threads! Quality

I remember a Teso on the old 606 long before I eventually joined it. He was a regular poster & I vaguely also remember posts later on, alluding to the fact it was Jagermeisterjack, as we all knew later on, in a former guise!! I actually forgot that Bad used to do the matchday threads!! I used to so enjoy reading them, they were class......

Interesting thread, I notice that Bad posts every two years on here <laugh> and I'm not him by the way, I was Teso Kesa for a while, think it was one of those websites that gave you Spanish name in tribute of one who's in Everton now ;)

Also I used to be Besian in tribute of one taken far to young, and I believe that was my last username on BBC 606.

Finally this was the last time Dai was correct, Bodde never recovered and the injury ended his career
