Steve Forster really unwell, apparently it's pretty serious so they've put the club up for sale with immediate effect.

I've met Steve a few times through Monday night football (not the sky one), top bloke and to quote Den Perry, it's a cracking lickle club.

    Get well soon Fozza.

Best wishes to the bloke. Hope he gets well soon.

North Ferriby United owners Eman and Steve Forster have put the National League North side up for sale with immediate effect.

The owners have overseen the greatest period of success in the club's history, however due to illness a decision has been taken to step away from the Villagers, who are currently in contention for promotion to the National League.

Mr Forster has recently undergone neurosurgery, with the family stressing their focus in on Mr Forster's recovery in the coming weeks and months.

The club have issued a joint statement from Eman and Steve Forster saying they hope an owner can be found in the coming weeks to take the club forward.

The statement reads: It is with much sadness that we announce that North Ferriby United is for sale with immediate effect.

The last three and half years have been a wonderful journey with our day out at Wembley last March being one of our proudest achievements and a day that will live with us forever.

Unfortunately, Steve has undergone neurosurgery recently and whilst it has been successful, he has a long period of treatment and recovery ahead of him and therefore we feel that we can no longer invest time into the club as we focus on Steve's recovery as well as looking after our children during this period.

Our hope is that in the coming weeks and months we will be able to find new owners who can continue to take the Club forward.

We would like to thank everyone involved with North Ferriby United, especially the Club's loyal supporters. We hope we leave the Club with foundations to achieve even more in the future.
