with 35 million in the bank from the carroll transfer, would llorente be a realistic target?

i've watched him quite a few times this season, and he's always impressed. scores goals for fun, is a nightmare to play against because he's so strong, and would be the perfect choice to take up the # 9 shirt in my opinion. very similar to shearer in his style of play.

he's on sky sports 1 playing against seville if any one is interested.

Would be awesome but unfortunately can't see it happening. Out of reach in terms of wages & possibly transfer fee.

Out of our league atm, and would rather spread the cash than spend it on one player.

Financially, almost everyone in the world is possible... but players such as Llorente who is very much an established footballer, I'd say unlikely. Kevin Gameiro is more our league.

He would be a great signing but I think he'll go to a Champions League side, with Real Madrid supposedly interested

I think we should put a bid in for him. I'm not sure whether he'd come though. I want us to sign Demba Ba, he's looked class so far, hopefully West Ham will go down and we can nab him on the cheap. ;)

Is this an attempt to get back in the good books with us Jordan? Or do you seriously believe that anyone sees Llorente and Cardozo as realistic target for us. These players will go to Champions League clubs.

Would be a great coup, but I think he'll be off to a CL side sadly and even if we could get him it would take most of our budget, which we are spending on "four or five" players.

llorente, maybe not, but cardozo definitely. he might be playing in the champs league but the portuguese league isnt a patch on the premiership.

Doesn't fit in with our u25 rule. Plus I think he would be too expensive, too much of a risk.

Basically the club is looking to secure young, talented players for the future and want all signings to be under 25 years of age.

Sorry but am not convinced that any player, playing abroad I've never heard will come to us (though Ben Arfa was an exception). Would love to have Cardozo but think he'll go to a bigger club than us, Tottenham will be looking at strikers too, I'd imagine.

Cheap, potentially good and good resale value.. oh and low-to-middle-range wages!

    Under 25 rule..

Oscar Cardozo is more like it, very prolific and I'd be happy to see us try to get him. The under 25 thing is a new transfer rule we have but since then our signings have included Sol Campbell and Shefki Kuqi so it isnt hard and fast.
