http://twitter.com/tonyfernandes Just hope everything behind the scenes has been sorted out and the owner, and manager are both in complete agreement. Message from 1 hour ago QPR have no intention of selling Taarabt
That is good news but I want to see that translated into action on the pitch ie more of the second half of Sunderland but with a very different end result please!!
Does this possibly mean that in the long-run Fernandes sees Adel playing a bigger role at QPR than NW? IMO this comment runs counter to the attitude displayed by Warnock over the last few months, both in his team selection and comments to the press. Something doesn't seem quite right with all this, to me anyway.
As I say hopefully everyones in agreement. We can't afford conflict between the owner and manager as we well know, playing side of things must be the manager's decision.
How genuine is that link to TF's twitter comments? I'm afraid I'm not up on all that stuff!! If it's genuine, then I say that's fantastic news!! Maybe Tony has talked some sense into Neil?
Yeah I get that mate. Quite a turn around though after Jone's interview? I wonder whether TF has put his foot down and insisted we keep him?
More likely Adel has woken up and smelled the coffee realising if he doesn't start performing he'll become another immensely talented player who never quite made it. It's odd how he's suddenly become part of the picture since shortly after that interview, improving his training levels and now forcing his way back into the team. You wonder whether there's been a bit of clever psychology employed there...
Or maybe Warnock has, deep down Adel's his boy. Also i have a feeling Mr Fernandes isn't going to give Neil as much money for new players as he was hoping for, hence he wants to keep Adel onboard.Get him playing regularly with a few decent new recruits and he might just keep us in the Prem!
Also an Adel on form will cost a fortune to replace. We won't get too much for him now so it seems to make sense to me to keep him. If he plays more games as he did Swansea he's worth it, and he's capable of more.
Warnock was never going to put up with Adel's attitude for long in the Premiership, especially when we signed the like of Barton and SWP. Since the Fulham game he's been left out in the cold, and quite rightly so, but our recent form and the apparent change in Adel's work rate in training has seen his reappearance. So far it seems that it's done him good and who knows what a goal or two will do for his confidence. He could still be our key man. As for TF's comments about not selling Adel, I'm sure this isn't a case of him putting his foot down and telling Warnock what to do. I think it's just a case of Warnock has always wanted Adel to stay but has played the mind game pretty well and seems to be getting the best from Adel again. Besides we've got nothing to lose by keeping him till the end of the season.
