London Call-In brings you an exclusive interview with QPR chairman Tony Fernandes this week, as he explains the lengths he is already going to in order to ensure our new stadium retains the unique atmosphere of Loftus Road. http://bit.ly/1e7jxT5
No,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it is just about the stadium tonight 'Arry is gonna take this to the wire...AGAIN
By the resounding silence I'm assuming he said lots about the stadium and Warren Farm but not much else??
He talked about him "sneaking" into the Loft at the Huddersfield game because he wants to experience the atmosphere in all areas of Loftus Rd to make sure they recreate that in the new Stadium. He also talked about lessons learnt from previous windows and whilst he is well aware of the areas we need to look at, he will not be rushed. Irons in the fire, both with additions and those hopefully moving on. He's also studying the history of Rangers ATM. My impression was that what happened with the Boswinga and others debacle hurt and humiliated him, and he won't make the same mistakes lightly but that we have done really well to turn all of that around so quickly and be where we currently are. There was a different side to Tony, a much less naive and more determined, toughened side to his character. Came across really well I thought. We're lucky to have him IMHO.
Thanks Belfast. I have a huge amount of respect for this bloke. He has been led astray by his own enthusiasm and let down, serially, by 'football people' regarding players. But he's programmed for success and will undoubtedly bring it. Hope he didn't read too much into the atmosphere in the Loft against Huddersfield, it was very subdued, won't take much replication......
Thanks Belfast, really helpful and we are very lucky to have him as opposed to one of his compatriots - Vincent Tan.
He really appears to care, not just about the Club, but the fans and the history. I nearly forgot... he talked about how negative Harry is "at the best of times" but how well he'd done to get people moved on and us where we are.
Good resume, Belfast, thanks. I feel ownership of our club is in good hands and we're lucky, particularly if you look at some other clubs (but I won't say any more in case I tempt fate...)
That's a good summarisation Belfast. I thought he came across as very passionate and determined. We are extremely lucky to have him.

It is just as well he wasn't a few block to his left mate. He would have felt like he was sat between Statler and Waldorf; I doubt we'd have seen him for a second half!
