Alex Ferguson has a 5 match ban, does this mean the FA have grown a pair at long last? or will they cave in if he puts in an appeal? or will he realise he is not in charge?

Thank goodness they've decided to do something. Let's hope it encourages referees and other officials to stop taking his crap and red card him more often.
We might even hope the media stop treating him like a sacred cow. Great manager-yes! Untouchable? He shouldn't be.

Thing is on this occasion SAF (who I'm not a big fan of) was right to have a go, the officials are useless and every weekend without fail we are treated to 4 or 5 gaffes of game changing proportions. I'm glad they have finally dished out some punishment to him as he has got away with it for far too long most other managers get hit straight away but, a 5 game ban where he will be on the phone to his assistant throughout and will still do the team talks pre match and half time is a joke. 30k fine for a bloke who earns that in a week well done FA you've got him running scared.
