    I wonder if Fergie is thinking about it sooner rather than later cos he wants Mourinho to take over. If he leaves it past this season then Jose will be in post elsewhere, unless he decides to take a sabbatical like Guardiola did to wait for the MUFC job.
    Obviously the club need to keep a lid on things as they are now listed on the NYSE, but you very rarely hear rumours of this nature about MUFC so perhaps there's no smoke without fire on this occasion.

    He is a prick, but a very successful (and filthy rich) one at that, and I can't think of any other manager that has a profile (and that is available potentially) that could take over at OT other than Mourinho.

    If he does take over, i'd be very interested to see if he reneged on his quote a few weeks back about urging Ronaldo to stay in Spain.

    I wouldn't be surprised to see Mourinho and Ronaldo at Man U come the start of next season if I'm honest !
