Fergie Jnr has told his players, that any of them who go on a night out in Peterborough after they've lost a game, will be fined two weeks wages.

Two of the four players transfer listed are available to be selected tomorrow(though Sinclair remains transfer listed), Mendez-Laing's been shipped out to Portsmouth on loan and he's apparently refusing to play Barnett.

"People might say why didn't you wait until further enquiries take place? I wasn't in the mood to wait. I wanted to get them straight out the building,"

Getting players to be responsible when they go out and not get into any bother is fair enough, but isn't this all rather over the top?

Yes. The players are allowed out after they have lost, but if they go out in Peterborough they get fined. Ridiculous

I would think Fergie jnr in on very dodgy ground here. What players do after a game is there business just as long as they stay out of trouble. Going out after a game regardless of the result is not Fergie jnrs business. PFA should step into this.

But i do agree with any sanctions that have been made when trouble has occured as that is unacceptable. imo.

Steve Evans (Olm's mate) @ Rotherham appears to have ask about both Sinclair and Barnett but both out of Rotherhams price range. Posh paid £1m to Crawley for Barnett in the summer. :emoticon-0104-surpr

This is out of order. As long as they're not getting into trouble and they should be able do what they want and when thay want.

What did they get arrested for?

Dont care much for Fergie Jnr but he's dead right here you dont go out round town after a defeat. Peterborough's a ****hole plenty of trouble and they're an easy target.

Isn't the point that they've not been keeping out of trouble though? Bet it'd be short odds that their defence was that they were being given abuse for losing and reacted to it.

The 2 who got cautioned by the Police fair enough. But Fergie went ott with the other 2.

100% agreed. Fergie jnr has no right or power to tell anyone where they can go in there own time. It wont be long before he loses the dressing room again if carries on like a stalin-ist.!!!

The details of why they were arrested are being kept under wraps, unless anyone on the Posh board knows?

As I mentioned in the original post, warning the players about not getting into bother and taking action if they do is fair enough, but two of these players didn't get into bother, they just went out. Presumably some of the players live in the area, what if they want to take their missus out for dinner, are they supposed to go all the way to Cambridge or Northampton?

Correct. Only when you get into bother can the club act.
