Over leaving gibson in limbo saying we made an offer which he was happy with then WE moved the goalposts on him. Sky sports. Fergie questions our integrity and trust, does this scupper any possibe return for Danny Welbeck?

    Couldn't care less.

If he had wanted to come he would have, no matter what the offer was.

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been on the poverty line

Fergie has to have a rant now and then. You should not read anything in to it

We have a great relationship with United, and i doubt this will tarnish it.

Fergie is the master of these things, what price he's just trying to get people to look past the fact that Gibson's wage demands were the issue, looking out for his clubs interests and trying to spark a bit of interest.

Not concerned about Welbeck, nothing will have changed on that score.

Sorry, just to clarify this is meant about Gibson.

Good point about Wellbeck, although I would guess if he goes it will be to wherever is most financially viable for Man Utd.

I know Fergie is prone to this sort of thing I'm.just thinking if we've got his back up he's most stubborn and if he decides to send welbeck on loan thered be plenty of takers and fergie would be in control of where he goes and could deliberately slight us.

I don't think it'll come down to money with Welbeck, it'll be a loan initially at least, and it'll come down to his development.

Fergie knows he will develop better here than Bolton or Everton, not because we're a better club or anything, but because he knows the place, won't need time to settle, and knows a loads of the lads.

Welbeck will be here, i didn't fancy it a few weeks back, but i reckon we'll get him now, i just hope we pre-arrange a fee for seasons end if United still don't want him.

Bruce was one of THE great servants to Fergie, ending that 27 year run without a title (staggering to think that now ain't it), i doubt pulling out of a deal for an 8th choice midfielder will tarnish that.

Been up in the jungle for a week mate, jungle in rainy season, it was like a ****ing vietnam war movie, only wetter.......mossies love me i tell ya.

Foreign builders, ****ers, sometimes easier to do things yourself...if the laws let it, we would ship a load of lads over, pay them well, let them shag their brains out, and drink till they drop, but know the work would still get done....

I want to sack the ****ers everyday, but know we can't and they know it to..clever gits are learning to fast...

Ha, i'm with you on that mate!

All i want done, our parking is under the gaff, and you have to come up through the back to the door, but i figured we could get some steps up that would bring you out straight at the front of the terrace, thus saving a load of time and making the place more accessible.

You'd think i was asking them to build a Trojan horse with a working penis.

It's too big a job for me, 2 metres of digging, and support to stop the land diving into the hole.

The last thing our squad needs now is splashing £5 million on Gibson, the money needs to go on a striker or left sided midfielder.

I hope this move doesnt happen.

I can't understand Ferguson's comments - 40k a week at Utd would not be a great deal - hernandez is now on 90k a week and their turnover is so vast that, even though they pay their players so much money, their wage bill still doesn't equate to the type of percentage of income that ours does.

£40k a week for a player who may not play every week (I like Gibson but as we have strength and depth in midfield he wouldn't be guaranteed a place IMO) is a hell of a lot of money to Sunderland

I like Ferguson as well but I think he's a out of order with this comment about Sunderland and if it affects our ability to get Wellbeck then I guess we just don't get him

    Basically I'd say **** Fergie.

He doesnt run Sunderland AFC, Quinny does and Bruce will decide who to buy and when.

SAF is probably just ****ed off he hasnt been abloe to off load the player and free up some wages for him to go for Sneijder.

I like Fergie. He's clever. You can understand what he's doing here- trying to make it seem our fault, so that some other club still think its a good opportunity to come in for Gibson. He's hardly going to come out and say 'Yeah to be honest, Darron was just being a greedy ****e so Sunderland decided it wasn't value for money since they got Gardner who's similar but better'. He's just looking out for MUFC.

Can't see it hurting our chances of getting Welbeck (he says, fingers and toes all crossed) and as for Gibson- I cancel transfers on FM all the time when I get better players in the same position. No big deal. :D
