This boy is a liability. No; not Sir Les, but young Anton. It seems that as SWP has been so very very poor, and of course the whole terry incident, he has somehow slipped under the radar of criticism. I cite his absolute howlers against spurs as a prime example. Now, he was sort of ok today, but let's face it- I bet most of us here agree that he is simply not up to scratch & I am getting more and more annoyed at his expression of indignation ( ie, it wasn't my fault ) when yet another sloppy goal is conceded.... Rant over.
You're right Surrey. The whole Terry farce gave him an excuse for sub-standard performances. You could tell that Hughes had enough when after the West Brom game it was suggested that Ferdinand had such a 'mare because the Baggies fans had put him off with their chanting and Hughes said it was time for him to man up. He's been very poor since he joined us. The amount of players that I can think of that I've been thoroughly disappointed in since they signed last year is depressing.
Guys, he's always been a poor player. He has never had the ability of his brother (whom i dont rate as highly as the press). Never understood why we signed him and argued with my old man about it. Ferdinand is a championship player at best,completely lost at this level.God only knows why we got rid of Gorkks.
