The former Manchester United man has not featured for Rangers since their 2-1 home defeat to Tottenham in March. The veteran has struggled for fitness this season and head coach Chris Ramsey would only consider selecting him if fully fit and it could be that he has played the final game of his career. Ramsey said: “He's nursing a long-term knock. He's a long-term one that we're missing at the moment. “I think he'll be in contention by the end of the season but we need fit players to play and if you have a knock and can't play in the way you want to play. “I don't think there's anything like an automatic selection. Ramsey added: “He is in contention. He's not where we want him to be but we can't put him too much in cotton wool and you sometimes need to take a chance on someone. “We're trying to get that balance between fitness and a reoccuring injury. He hasn't put his hand up fully but he said last week this was a target for him but we're going to try our best to make sure he's at least on the bench.”
