Leroy Fer and Richard Dunne 'one or two weeks' away from injury return, confirms Chris Ramsey Mathew Nash please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Mathew Nash 11 hours ago "> View image | gettyimages.com QPR face an increasingly uphill battle to escape relegation from the Premier League. Harry Redknapp's replacement Chris Ramsey has not managed to create much of a change at the club. Of course they have had injury problems to contend with. Two of their key players have been out of action for a lengthy period. Leroy Fer, a summer signing from Norwich City, has looked a great option when available. Unfortunately he picked up a knee injury in February and was ruled out for 10 weeks, as per the BBC. They also lost key centre-back Richard Dunne. The Irishman was injured in the same month, with it even reported he could miss the rest of the season. But it would appear that both are now on the comeback trail. Speaking to the QPR YouTube channel, manager Ramsey confirmed that both players had worked hard on their recovery and were now just a couple of weeks away from a return to action. "> "They've worked extremely hard the two lads. The medical staff have been really, really good with them. "We're hoping that, in the next week to two weeks that one of them, maybe both of them, will be ready for consideration." Their returns will be welcomed. QPR have lost their last five games, picking up just four points from their last ten. That string of results sees them 19th in the Premier League and four points behind Sunderland in the last survival spot.
We can still get out of this. Having these 2 back (esp Fer) for the last 3 or 4 games could do it if we can get 9 or 10 points from the next 4.
Tony Fernandes ✔ @tonyfernandes Follow Good team tomororw. Only fer missing from what I thiblnk is our best team. Come on your rsssss 1:47 PM - 3 Apr 2015 Our chairman tweeted this an hour or so ago......any suggestions as top what the team might be?
Steady lads. One of the times we beat Chelsea (probably the first time at home), I told work colleagues that if we beat Chelsea, I would run through the streets naked! Strange things happen in football!!
Flyer also offered to do something similar....on the opitch...with a blow up dolly (One of the reasons he may have left the board
Definitely not blind faith, too much has gone wrong this season for that!. But if CR picks the right team and we get a bit of luck we can escape. When have we been on such a long bad run as we have, the laws of averages say our results will change for the better too. Tomorrow would be good timing.
No Tramore, I was being sardonic....If TF thinks tomorrows team whatever it is ...is the best minus Fer....he has completely forgotten what a rock Dunne was to us before he got injured.
If we take 10 points from the next 4 games i shall dye my hair green, go to the nearest tgi fridays dressed in a tutu, and eat the entire menu.....and perhaps even a wafer thin after dinner mint to finish it off
If the team ever wanted an extra reason to perform..this thread is providing it.. Come on u Rrrs ...we need this entertainment
FFS!! Tony, shut up! This implies that Tony is having some input on team selection. It also means that, after today's game, any team that isn't the same will clearly not meet with Tony's approval. Stupid, stupid comments!!
****............it also almost certainly means that we're starting Zamora and Austin together in a 4-4-2!
