It's a small chance, but if we are knocked out tonight, this may save us.

It's either add another team to the group stage, or pick the highest team in Turkey that wasn't cheating (Top two cheated).

It stands to reason that they would pick ARSENAL if they didn't pick a team from Turkey, so we better hope for that.

Uefa picking an english club? Seems unlikely to me. Although could be messy to promote turkish teams from the europa league to the champions league.

Besides, we are going to get to the group stages on merit <ok>

Bursaspor are third. But it would get complicated.

    I'd say there's a 30% chance we'll get Arsenal/Liverpool.

Gab Marcotti reckons the place would go to FC COpenhagen if it doesn't go to a turkish side

    Why does Marcotti think that?

Why would Arsenal, the fourth placed team in England, take the place of Fenerbahce, the champions of Turkey? What keeps the other five teams that go out tonight (four if one of them is Arsenal) from also arguing for a place on the same grounds as Arsenal would? Let's not even mention the fact that UEFA hates England and if they did decide the ludicrous of replacing Fenerbache with one of tonight's teams, an English side would be the least likely.
