She's never be allowed to play. See how she kicked the ball at the player's face? It's a miracle she survived <whistle>

And if we did have female players in the PL, imagine how big the lynch mob would be if Suarez gave one of them a cheeky hair pull a la Rafael in 2011 :)

Most of the comments are tongue in cheek and funny, there will always be some who have alternative values though.

Likewise. We had a girl who played in the college leagues at uni. I once caught her with a hard (but fair) challenge and sent her flying. One of her team mates came over and started having a go at me for deliberately clattering a girl. She got up and had a massive go at him for referring to her as a girl and saying she should be treated differently <laugh>

I then gave him a good kick in a later challenge, just to prove I wasn't sexist. Tho the ref booked me for that one, not sure what that says for women's lib ;)

Surely that is the same problem for men? I know a guy from school who took a ball to the nads, got testicular torsion and they had to lop one of his bollocks off. Don't remember him signing a waiver! At least if a woman takes one to the neverminds she can still donate eggs and use a surrogate - once a bloke loses his balls he is ****ed, so to speak.

Perhaps, tho' I don't remember Nani having form for hair pulling <whistle>

And my point was more about the media reaction - if anyone else gave her a cheeky tug it would just be part of the game, like Crouch using that T&T player's dreads as leverage to score a header in the WC. If Suarez did it then we'd have to add sexist, misogynist and woman beater to his already long list of crimes ;)

I most certainly do clean the toilets, and everything else.

My missus was here and we were discussing this very thing as I was on this board. She agreed and also disagreed, she knows I am a bit 40s, and I will admit it, but also there was a little truth in there too and I don't live my life thinking women should do this or that. All of it I can take with a pinch of salt except the work thing, they constantly turn on the water works when it suits them and males cannot deal with that, she's ( my missus) a manager and totally agrees and has seen women use tears and HR to avoid getting screwed where a male employee would, that's HER opinion and observation, so what do you say to that?

We have different opinions Frank but for you to assume you know what goes on in my home
My missus works, and seeing as I'm just arrived in Finland and have no job, I cook I clean I make the dinner and I drop off and collect and look after the lad after Creche. She's due no 2 in may and I'll bend over backwards to support her in any way, so in the end I typed and hit post but you know what, when it comes down to it I WILL EAT **** IF IT WILL HELP HER

We have a partnership in that respect, we help and support each other, male female does not come into it. This is the way forward but you are having a laugh if you think women do not use the fact that they're females to their own advantage, seriously having a laugh, I dont mean ALL women. I mean it is something we as males cannot do in that way, there are inequalities in fathers rights too, but lets forget that eh. I don't hear women banging on that Men should have more rights when couples split up.

and I never P.S. (except taking the piss out of herself, she also makes them re men, most women do, like sexist jokes are the domain of men, thats bollox) make sexist jokes, this thread was a piss-take apart from the physical realities of physical contact sport. Except my last post earlier today.

Never said a woman could not run a football club.

Within species the brain of both are no different in potential capability. Physically we are very very different obviously.

Now if I was a manager that managed female staff, I would certainly re-asses my opinions so it is easy for me not to because none of my decisions affect females from gaining opportunities.

So I am not sexist at all, actions v words!

  9. I played in a tournament last summer where one of the seven teams was all girls bar the keeper (who they'd borrowed from our Sunday League team to try and equal it up for them a little). It was supposed to be seven-a-side with a couple of subs each, they played all ten of their outfield players for the entirety of every game. Some of the lads wouldn't tackle them and kept letting them run straight past. However, me and one other lad thought "**** this, they've signed up to play" and proceeded to clatter the **** out of them whenever we got near the ball. Fair to say, we got some abuse and still get stick for being crazy for a tackle etc now but hey ho... <laugh>
